The US Troops are starting to feel abandoned by the US Government

A total of 10,000 American troops remain in Afghanistan. These troops believe they have been forgotten by the Obama administration, as the US Government shifts its attention to ISIS.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - The US Troops, 10,000 men and women left in Afghanistan, feel abandoned by the US government. As 4th of July draws near, these men are feeling neglected by the government, according to a US intelligence officer as reported by G2 Bulletin.

The officer, whose identity was kept confidential, sees no future in the war zone in Afghanistan as the US government diverts its attention elsewhere. He feels that the $1 trillion invested by the US to the fight has not reached their camps.

With ISIS trying to penetrate Afghanistan grounds, the officer feels that the active US reserves and National Guards in the country are not enough to keep up with the current missions and conditions in the country.

The United States has "zero strategy for the country," the officer said. "We're essentially waiting for politicians to pull the plug," he continues.

Last March, Obama announced that he would conclude the American war before turning over the presidency by 2016. He said that he was going to freeze US troops level in Afghanistan to 9,800 by the end of 2015. This statement contradicts with claims from the defense ministers of the NATO reaffirming that the Afghanistan borders will be continuously kept secure, even if the security continues to deteriorate.

As plights of these US Troops remains to be heard, the Afghan parliament in Kabul was attacked last June 22. Taliban forces are also continuously attacking the Arabs, Uighurs, Chechens, Tajiks and the Uzbeks.

"This force composition is somewhat unusual for the Taliban and may reflect a unification of effort between several anti-government militant fronts or a spillover of foreign militants into Afghanistan," according to reports.

ISIS is starting to creep into Afghanistan and is already starting to establish social restrictions in the area. The growing presence of this very active terrorist group adds threats and more questions and anxiety to the US Troops remaining in Afghanistan.

Details on the factual plans and moves of the US government for these troops in Afghanistan remain to be uncertain and unavailable.
