LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - It is expected that Netanyahu's visit and speech will primarily be about the potential agreement between Iran and President Obama on nuclear policy, alarmingly one in which Iran has much freer reign to develop nuclear materials that could feasibly become weaponized.

On this issue many Democrats in the House and Senate disagree with President Obama, and stand with Republicans in their support of Israel and keeping nuclear capabilities out of the hands of Iran - a country with a leadership and population that is ardently anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic.
Speaker of the House John Boehner - who is the man responsible for Netanyahu's appointment to speak - is likely counting on Netanyahu's popularity with Republicans and Democrats to get enough votes together to override any possible veto from President Obama on the issues of sanction against Iran.
Following the 2014 midterm where Republicans handily took control of both the House and Senate, President Obama has been quick to threaten a veto on any bills proposed in Congress that he dislikes.

While Americans would be right to be weary of any talk of bipartisanship out of Washington, a number of Democrats in Congress have already been open about their desire to see tougher sanctions leveled at Iran.

In a form of passive-aggressive revenge, neither President Obama or Vice President Joe Biden will meet with the Israeli prime minister while he is in the United States.
