DENVER, CO (Catholic Online) - Google released on Thursday, images of some of the most popular trails in the canyon which allow virtual tourists to see the south rim and other spots of note.
A backpacker equipped with panoramic cameras snapping images every 2.5 seconds, recorded the sights of the bright Angel trail all the way down to the Colorado River.
Google says the Grand canyon trail is just the start. The company plans to do the same for many other famous sights including ancient ruins and historical monuments.
Google is known for its comprehensive mapping and street views, using cars and even tricycles, and carts, to capture panoramic views of many destinations in the US and in notable places around the world.
