LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to the CBN News, the tour of Jerusalem, called "Jerusalem Encounter" is an opportunity for today's youth to experience God and tour the Holy Land.

First-time visitors will get to tour Israel then meet in Jerusalem from May 31 to June 2, where worship and conferences with guest speakers will commence.

The entire list of events can be found on the Jerusalem Encounter website and all events will be live-streamed.

Jerusalem Encounter is sponsored by the Fellowship of Israel-Related Ministries (FIRM) and FIRM's president, Wayne Hilsden, claims the gathering is occurring in the right place at the right time.

"Jerusalem is the center of the world, as Ezekiel talks about. It's the naval of the world, and we have people coming from all over the world - many of them for the first time - to Israel," Hilsden explained.

"And that's one of the key things we're trying to achieve is to get people in the land to experience the land of the Bible - the people of this nation - and to experience God - to encounter God. That's why we call it the 'Jerusalem Encounter.'"

The importance of the location and the message being taught to today's youths cannot be emphasized enough, particularly during a time when tensions have reached a boiling point between Palestinian and Israeli communities.

"I believe it's an urgent hour," Hilsden admitted. "I believe that the enemy, Satan, wants to come against the purpose of God for Israel and Jerusalem.

"And he's doing everything he can to stop that. So we're trying to get a message to the world that God is at work in this land. He's restoring people to the land physically, and He's about to restore the people of this land spiritually to Himself."

Please pray the tour and conference goes well both for those involved and for the surrounding communities. Pray that God touch lives and miracles occur; but most of all, please pray for peace between the Palestine and Israeli communities.
