LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to Daily Mail, the largest bomb was planted in a parked car.

When it detonated, eleven people were killed and at least thirty were wounded.

The second explosion was the result of bombs planted in the ground.

These blasts killed two people and wounded six.

The third bomb killed one person and wounded two others.

On Saturday, over 21 people were killed and 42 were wounded when an ISIS car bomb targeting a Shiite market.

The market attack was added to the growing list of ISIS attacks across Iraq and Syria, believed to be an annual commemoration of Imam Musa Kadhim's death in 799 AD.

"The group is resorting more and more to mass-casualty violence as it comes under heavy pressure from multiple angles," said Matthew Henman, head of IHS Jane's Terrorism and Insurgency Centre, according to the Daily Mail.

ISIS continues to lose territory as the United States and Middle Eastern forces conduct more sweeps and air strikes.

Analysis firm IHS reported a 44 percent rise in the number of ISIS members killed for the past three months.

Meanwhile, ISIS territory in Iraq decreased by 40 percent since 2014 and has fallen 20 percent in Syria.
