LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to Sky News, intelligence officials have described an "imminent" attack six ISIS operatives admitted to be on its way.
The likely target is a synagogue in Beyoglu, which is host to a community center, kindergartens, elementary schools and youth centers.
An intelligence source admitted the exact location of the impending attack remains unclear but promised "extraordinary security measures are being taken above and beyond the high alert level already in place by the Turkish police, as well as vigilance within the Jewish community."The source added the threat was "more than credible" and reported, "Undercover and covert counter-terror measures are being implemented around the clock."

News of the impending attack follows several deadly incidents in the country, where religious minorities are often the targets of crime.
The unnamed official admitted the attack could take place at any time and authorities have already begun preparations for thwarting possible threats.
