Revolting, twisted celebration: You'll never guess how people celebrated a 23-year-old's murder

'They screamed at me 'Allahu akbar.' I screamed back at them, 'Get out of here, you dogs.''

Two Palestinian women murdered a 23-year-old Israeli woman after attempting to break into a grocery store and setting up bombs around Beit Horon, a Jewish community in the West Bank.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to Times of Israel, grocer Mordechai Shalem's store came under attack from two Palestinian women who each wielded a knife.

"It was scary," Shalem recalled. "You see two people facing you with their knives raised. I saw the hatred in their eyes, the anger. I knew I had to stop them from getting in."

The store's security camera caught Shalem grabbing a cart and refusing to allow the women to enter his store.

"I don't know where I got the courage," he told Israeli Channel 2 in an interview. "But there were children in the store, women. Someone called out to me 'terrorist, terrorist'. [sic] I didn't think of anything but jumping out to make sure they didn't get in. That was the only thing.

"It was scary. Scary, for sure. You see two people facing you with their knives raised. I saw the hatred in their eyes, the anger. I knew I had to stop them from getting in...I'd stop them with my body. If they'd got in, I dread to think what would have happened."

Shalem estimated his encounter with the women could not have lasted longer than ten seconds. He further described the scene, saying, "They screamed at me 'Allahu Akbar.' I screamed back at them, 'Get out of here, you dogs.' They tried for 10 seconds to get in. I made sure they couldn't. And then they internalized that the moment had passed. They ran off toward the homes in the settlement."

The women, 23-year-old Ibrahim Al'an and 17-year-old Hassin Abu Gush, had lethally stabbed 23-year-old Shlomit Krigman and wounded a 58-year-old man outside Shalem's store before attempting to enter it. When Shalem fought them off, the women were chased by police then killed by a security guard.

According to The Blaze, Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld discovered two pipe bombs near Shalem's store, leading them to believe the attack was meant to be very different.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's spokesman, Ofir Gendelman, reported the praise each woman received on Palestinian social media.

Since the women were killed, Palestinians have been celebrating them as martyrs. In a revolting act of twisted celebration, Hussein Abu Ghosh's mother and Ibrahim Allan's sister took to the streets with smiles and candy. The women tossed candy toward passersby in celebration of their martyred loved ones.

Sadly, the Israeli-Palestine conflict has no end in sight, and with "martyrs" continually being praised in social media, it would appear nothing short of a miracle will bring about a resolution.

Please pray for the unrest around the world. This is a world damaged by the devil's lies and only the Grace of God can bring about change.
