LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The terror attacks in Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, resulted in the deaths and injury of several innocent civilians when ISIS supporters detonated suicide vests and opened fire on a crowd outside a Starbucks coffee shop.

Survivors shared their stories of horror and several graphic images were dispersed online, including several of a shooter who was eventually killed by authorities.

The man believed to be responsible for the bombings is ISIS militant Bahrun Naim, who credited himself with the Paris terror attacks in a blog posted in November.

According to the Jakarta Post, on Monday, January 18 he reportedly reactivated his blog to post several hate-filled messages. On one post titled "Advice to viewers," Naim wrote that the troops of Daulah Islamiyyah (Islamic State) attacked Jakarta in hopes of targeting police officers, whom Naim referred to as thagut (those who disobey God's law), and foreigners.

The blog stated, "The attacks were qishas [retaliation] against attacks of salibis [Christians] against Muslims both in Islamic State and in Indonesia." He also wrote that at least 200 Muslims were murdered without trials by National Police's counterterrorism squad Densus 88, which Naim called "Jesus Squad 88."

Naim added that the attacks were meant to be a warning to encourage people to rise against the Indonesian government and its supporters as well as anyone who is an ally to foreigners and capitalist Christians, who are responsible for eroding Muslim wealth.

"The warning urges the people to choose between being on the corrupt government's side that disobeys God's law and fights the Muslims or with the Mujihidin [fighters]!" Naim stated in his post.

In another blog post titled "Lessons Learned From the Paris Attacks," Naim praised the killers responsible for the Bataclan theatre attack. He also urged the Indonesian readers to study the planning, timing, targeting, coordination, security and courage of those killers.

Now, only days later, Daily Mail reported a new post on Naim's blog: a manifesto encouraging more terror attacks.

"Use a screwdriver... use a kitchen knife... even use broken glass," the message read as part of the instructions to "kill" enemies.

Dr. Sidney Jones, the director of the Jakarta-based Institute of Policy Analysis and Conflict, believes the posts are truly from Naim. Jones said Naim is "encouraging people to use any means at their disposal to attack the enemy."
