The most recent attack occurred on UK's London Bridge.

The most recent attack occurred on UK's London Bridge.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - May 26 marked the beginning of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. According to Islamic State terrorists, those who die during these horrific attacks are "promised extra benefits for dying in attacks during the holy month."

They use this holiday to initiate more terrorist attacks.

So far, there has been a twin suicide bombing in Baghdad and an extreme vehicle bomb in Afghanistan. There has also been an attack in a Manila casino hotel earlier this week.

And now, there has been another attack in London. The deadly event at the London Bridge on June 3rd becomes the third UK attack this year.

"In terms of their planning and execution, the recent attacks are not connected. But we believe we are experiencing a new trend in the threat we face, as terrorism breeds terrorism, and perpetrators are inspired to attack not only on the basis of carefully constructed plots after years of planning and training - and not even as lone attackers radicalised online - but by copying one another and often using the crudest of means of attack," stated British Prime Minister Theresa May.

The attack on London Bridge involved three attackers driving a white van into walking pedestrians. Another incident involved a terrorist stabbing civilians in Borough Market.

Seven people were killed and 48 injured before the police shot dead the terrorists.

The attackers reportedly shouted out, "This is for Allah!"

These unimaginable acts of violence have been condemned by many all over the world.

Pope Francis took a moment toward the end of his Mass on Pentecost Sunday to pray for the victims and their families.

"May the Holy Spirit grant peace to the whole world," Pope Francis said, according to Vatican Radio. "May He heal the wounds of war and of terrorism, which even this [Saturday] night, in London, struck innocent civilians: let us pray for the victims and their families."

The Holy Month of Ramadan ends on June 24.

May God protect all of his Children during this painful period when the Islamic State has promised more attacks.
