LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - As the child was presented to the Pontiff for a blessing, she surprised everyone - including Pope Francis - when she reached up and snatched his skullcap right off his head.

As Estella reached up, a woman off-screen can be heard saying, "Mira, mira" or "Look, look."

As the child clutched her prize to her chest, the crowd burst into laughter and Pope Francis flashed his famous smile.

He reached out and reclaimed his cap, amid calls of "Francisco! Papa! Francisco! Papa!"

The adorable moment was captured on film by Estella's Godfather, who quickly uploaded the video to his Twitter with the caption, "Took my Goddaughter to meet the pope. She stole his hat."

In less than 12 hours, it has been retweeted nearly 1,500 times and "liked" 2,470 times.

For Estella's family, and for Pope Francis as well, today will be an unforgettable one.
