LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to ABC News, three people are currently being held by authorities for questioning concerning the attack in Normandy.

Two extremists interrupted Mass and killed an 84-year-old priest.

The attack was the latest in a string of terrorist attacks in France this year, which has collectively claimed the lives of 230 people.

One official admitted a Syrian refugee has been added to the list of suspects when a photocopy of his passport was discovered at one of the attackers', Adel Kermiche's, home.

The official, who is not authorized to speak publicly of the ongoing investigation, chose to speak anonymously.

The Syrian, whose name remains undisclosed, is being held alongside a cousin of Kermiche's accomplice, Abdel-Malik Nabil Petitjean, for questioning.

Kermiche and Petitjean were both only 19-years-old and were both killed by police when they attempted to leave the French church.

The teens had previously pledged their allegiance to the Islamic State, which in turn claimed responsibility for the attack.
