Putin's super soldier program? Russian military to equip army with mind controlled exoskeletons
FREE Catholic Classes
It seems that Russian President Vladimir Putin is giving his army of aggression a new toy to play with, at least if recent claims by Russian media are to be believed.
We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Straight out of a science fiction book, Russia's state run Sputnik News announced that the Russian military will receive mind controlled robotic exoskeletons by 2020.
"The Russian Army is set to receive mind-controlled exoskeletons," said Sputnik. "The wearable robots will be controlled by brain waves and will increase the strength and endurance of the serviceman wearing it by several times."
Reportedly, Russian soldiers using these suits would be capable of carrying more than 600 pounds of gear in the field, and the exoskeleton would also enhance their endurance.
The head of medical equipment development and manufacturing at Russia's United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation, Aleksander Kulish, told Sputnik that: "I think that in about five years we will introduce a neuroelectronic interface which will control the exoskeleton and artificial limbs through the electrical potential of a human brain."
"With this a soldier can perform incredible jumps, move and throw heavy objects," Kulish told the Moscow Times. "This is the future."
The potential use and development of exoskeleton technology is nothing new. The United States military and civilian world has been testing and developing these exact same technologies since the 1960s, but so far they have proven to be far to expensive in regards to their effectiveness.
Exoskeletons could allow for troops to wear heavier armor as well as be more lethal on the field with advanced or heavier weaponry. It is unclear if Russia actually will be capable of developing and fielding advanced and useful exoskeletons in the five year time frame, but if they do, the way in which the world fights, nearly unchanged in decades, may be altered forever.
