La conocida revista Forbes ubic贸 al Papa Francisco en el cuarto lugar de la lista de "Las personas m谩s poderosas del mundo", elaborada para el a艅o 2013.

ROMA (ACI/EWTN Noticias) - La lista fue publicada el 30 de octubre y sit煤a en el primer puesto al presidente de Rusia, Vladimir Putin; seguido por el presidente de los Estados Unidos, Barack Obama; y en tercer lugar figura el primer ministro de China, Xi Jinping.

En el Vaticano la noticia ha pasado desapercibida y "no tiene valor alguno en particular", seg煤n explic贸 en declaraciones a ACI Prensa el Director de la Oficina de Prensa de la Santa Sede, Padre Federico Lombardi.

"Me parece evidente que el Papa es una persona que causa en el mundo una gran atenci贸n. No es para asombrarse, adem谩s, los criterios de estas investigaciones son muy opinables. Solo es un reconocimiento de la atenci贸n que despierta el Papa", a艅adi贸 el P. Lombardi.

Forbes especifica que el Papa Francisco ocupa el cuarto puesto de su lista por liderar a m谩s de mil doscientos millones de personas en el mundo, el n煤mero de fieles que componen la Iglesia hoy d铆a y que equivale a la sexta parte de la poblaci贸n mundial.

El Papa Francisco "ha insuflado una nueva energ铆a en la religi贸n m谩s grande del mundo", escribe Forbes.

La revista financiera destaca adem谩s que el Pont铆fice argentino "ha abrazado a los medios de comunicaci贸n sociales con el uso regular de Twitter para dar consejos" a sus millones de seguidores y ha sido el primer Papa en dejarse fotografiar al estilo "selfie", cuya traducci贸n al espa艅ol consistir铆a en auto-fotografiarse con una o m谩s personas con un dispositivo m贸vil.

Forbes concluye definiendo al Papa como un fan del f煤tbol, que tiene compasi贸n por los m谩s pobres, ha revalorizado el papel de la mujer y proviene de or铆genes humildes.
