El Movimiento Cristiano Liberación (MCL), denunció que policías del Gobierno cubano irrumpieron este martes en la vivienda de Roger Curbelo, en Puerto Padre, Las Tunas, y golpearon violentamente a los activistas que se encontraban reunidos para conmemorar el Día de los Derechos Humanos, mientras el presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, estrechaba la mano a Raúl Castro en Sudáfrica durante el funeral de Nelson Mandela.

LA HABANA (ACI) - "Están atacando la casa. Hay miles de policías. Les están dando de pińazos a todos los de la casa. Están acabando con todo. Están dentro de la casa, rompieron la puerta, la ventana, todo. A todo el mundo que está dentro de la casa los están golpeando (.) son policías y civiles", denunció una mujer en un audio difundido por el MCL.

Asimismo, en su sitio de Facebook, el movimiento fundado por Oswaldo Payá alertó que hay "varios heridos sangrando en la casa, y varios detenidos, no cesa el acoso, les han cortado la electricidad"; mientras "cientos de sicarios vociferan en las calles alentados por las tropas especiales de la tiranía".

Por ello Curbelo criticó en otro audio que Obama salude a Raúl Castro en el funeral de Mandela, mientras "el pueblo de Cuba está ajeno, falto de derechos, sin libertad de opinión de expresión".

El movimiento disidente denunció que al final de la agresión, los agentes del Gobierno se llevaron detenido "a Armando Peńa Guzmán del MCL y Alexis Becerra, gestor del Proyecto Varela. Ambos estaban reunidos por el Día de los Derechos Humanos en la sede del MCL en Puerto Padre".
