El sábado, 12 de octubre, a las 5:00 p.m. en la Plaza de San Pedro, el Papa Francisco presidirá una oración con motivo de la Jornada Mariana convocada en el Ańo de la Fe y recibirá a la imagen original de la Virgen de Fátima, que usualmente está en el santuario del mismo nombre en Portugal, que lleva en la corona la bala que hirió al Beato Juan Pablo II el atentado del 13 de mayo de 1981.

ROMA (ACI/EWTN Noticias) - El domingo 13 a las 10:30 a.m., siempre en la Plaza de San Pedro, el Santo Padre celebrará la Misa en la Jornada Mariana y consagrará, ante la Virgen de Fátima, el mundo al Corazón Inmaculado de María.

Para la Jornada Mariana se esperan a unos 200 mil peregrinos, muchos pertenecientes a centenas de movimientos e instituciones. Esta se inicia el sábado con la peregrinación a la tumba del Apóstol Pedro, la adoración eucarística y confesiones en algunas iglesias cercanas a la basílica de San Pedro. Por la tarde el Papa Francisco y la multitud recibirán la imagen de la Virgen.

Tras la catequesis mariana del Papa, la imagen irá al santuario romano del Divino Amore, situado a 15 kilómetros del centro de Roma, lugar habitual de peregrinaciones.

Estarán conectados en directo para el rezo del rosario y el inicio de la vigilia diez santuarios marianos del mundo, dos de los cuales son de América Latina: Aparecida en Brasil, y Lujan en la Argentina. También estarán conectados Lourdes en Francia y Czestochowa en Polonia y Banneux en Bélgica. Además de Nazareth en Israel, Nairobi en Kenya, Akita en Japón, Vailankanny en India y Washington (EEUU).

Y a las 10:00 p.m. hora local, se iniciará la vigilia que lleva por título "Con María más allá de la noche".

El domingo 13 el Papa celebrará la Misa en San Pedro y consagrará el mundo al Inmaculado Corazón de María.

La Jornada Mariana es organizada por el Pontificio Consejo para la promoción de la Nueva Evangelización, insertada en el programa del Ańo de la Fe, lleva por lema "ˇFeliz Tú porque creíste!".
