Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Representing himself in court, the unnamed man entered the Haifa Magistrate's Court in Israel and claimed God had been particularly unkind to him.

According to The Times of Israel, the petitioner stated he had consistently tried to obtain this restraining order over the past three years, but the police ignored his request and only sent patrol cars to his home.

God "had exhibited a seriously negative attitude toward him, although details of just what divine mischief he had borne the brunt of were not mentioned in the report," argued the man, according to The Times of Israel.

During the hearing, it was noted that God did not make his appearance in court, but reports did not specify how it was determined he was not there rather than "exercising the right to remain silent."

Judge Ashan Canaan denied the man's request, describing it as "ludicrous" and stating he needed help, but not from the court.

No after court statements from the petitioner or the "spokespeople on behalf of the Lord" were documented.

Although this court case and the petitioning man appear laughable, it is important to note that many people feel disappointed in God; like he is "a kid with a magnifying glass and we are all ants."

If you ever feel wronged by God, remember there is always a greater plan behind what is happening to you. In many cases, what seems like the end of the world today is likely not to matter at all years from now.

Don't lose your faith during the hard times.
