MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "They start getting louder and louder," explained one witness.

Witness Sherri Jackson added that, "She was on the ground and they were standing over her with hands on her and screaming 'Satan, I demand that you depart,' and it went on and on. It was very bizarre."

According to Jackson, her daily routine starts at the park, called Memorial Gardens, with a perusal of the Bible and a quick prayer. This day however, was definitely out of the ordinary for Jackson.

"No Bible was read, no prayer, because it got a little too crazy," she said. There were also a few other eyewitnesses at the park during the reported exorcism, and they said that the three were initially sitting on a bench and eventually moved to the ground in front of the pond.

"Jesus can heal anybody but it's just not something you expect to see at the duck pond, but I'm glad to know everybody's OK," Jackson added.

Clergyman Father Dave Hoxly expressed his concern for the person who received the exorcism, stating he's worried about, "The person who they're exorcising and that that person is getting the care they need." According to Hoxly, exorcism is the removal of an evil spirit through the use of prayer with a practice tracing back from the gospel of Jesus.

"Overriding thought in that is I hope the people doing it had some level of training," Hoxly said.

Police say they were called to the scene, but given that it is not illegal to perform an exorcism in a public place, they did not have the power to take action. Police also reported that no one was injured.
