DJ Neil Armstrong wanted to make lasting memories with his 15-year-old dog.

Thomas Neil Rodriguez, who goes by the name DJ Neil Armstrong, has taken his terminally ill dog, who he has owned for 15 years, on an unforgettable bucket list adventure. Rodriguez was hoping he could make their final days together as unforgettable as possible.

Highlights

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online)- DJ Neil Armstrong adopted his pet, Poh, in December of 1999 from an animal shelter in New York. Poh, a mixed-breed dog, was only 8-weeks-old when he and his owner first met.

Earlier this year, Poh's veterinarians discovered two very large tumors growing in his abdomen, which were deemed inoperable. Poh was declared terminally ill and would not live much longer.

In order to make the most of their last days or weeks together, Rodriguez decided to take Poh on an unforgettable cross-country adventure and made a bucket list of things that they would do together for the last time.

Alongside the images posted by Mr Rodriguez was: "Hi everyone, my name is #pohthedog. I look like a pup but I'm 15 years old, 105 in dog years, and although I am young at heart and my mind is willing, my body is going through the natural process of old age. My parents found out that I have a couple of very large tumors growing in my abdomen which are inoperable. So my dad @djneilarmstrong decided to give me a bucket list trip across the good old US of A... traveling from #nyc all the way to the west coast, from sea to shining sea."

Goumada, Rodriguez's fiancee, also joined the adventure. And over the past 60 days, the trio have paid visit to Breaking Bad's Walter White's house in New Mexico and The Goonies' home in Oregon.

Additionally, Poh has experienced swimming in the Pacific Ocean. Rodriguez shared, "I have always wanted him to swim," adding that, "He loved it, it was so healing for him. It was like he was five years younger."

Poh experienced a seizure during the trip, according to his owner. Rodriguez expressed emotionally, "I'm always traveling, but Poh is my home. I think this resonated with a lot of dog owners."

Rodriguez explained, the trip "was a little bit for him, a little bit for me."
