The operator related to the man and brought him food.

After several news outlets reported about a sick, elderly man who dialed 911 after finding he had no food and the operator who came to his rescue, others came forward with lots of food for him. MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - With no one to help him, Clarence Blackmon decided to call 911. "I can't do anything. I can't go anywhere. I can't get out of my damn chair," he told the operator as reported by ABC News.

In his interview, the elderly man from Fayetteville, North Carolina said that he told the operator that he was not bleeding or in crisis, he just needed someone to help him buy some food.

About an hour and a half, the operator, Marilyn Hinson showed up at his door bringing his favorites, some groceries and ham sandwiches.

"He was hungry. I've been hungry. A lot of people can't say that, but I can, and I can't stand for anyone to be hungry," she told the WTVD. With the touching act of kindness and gratitude, many people were captivated by the story.

Blackmon said that people are coming with a lot of food, filling his entire kitchen up.

"They keep bringing it in by the armloads. My cupboards are full. I've never had such prosperity," he said on a follow-up news by the ABC.

Thankful for the gifts of others, he had called a food bank to share. He said it would take him a year to consume all the food donations.
