Zella Price was told her baby died hours after delivery; that was not the case.

A mother was told that her twin babies had died at childbirth, only to meet one of them alive 49 years later. As it turns out, her daughter was alive and got mysteriously adopted. The family will begin an investigation regarding the false information given by the Homer G. Phillips Hospital that cost them years of separation, but for now they said that being together at last is the most important.

span style="line-height: 15.8599996566772px;">MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Zella Jackson Price, now 76, gave birth to a premature baby but she said the doctors gave vague details of what happened, in an interview with the Daily Mail.

She was also told that "her twins" had died hours after, although she only had a single-child birth.

As she recollected the incident, she explained she had noticed mothers were nursing wrong babies within the large maternity ward.

Believing her child was dead, she was surprised to get a text message from one of the children of Melanie Diane Gilmore, now 49, asking if she was their grandmother. It turned out, after a series of questions, that her daughter is alive and looking for her after years of being adopted for a yet unknown reason.

The two eventually chatted up through Oovoo and agreed to have their DNA tested, which has proven that they are indeed mother and daughter.

Gilmore expressed that she had always wished to see her biological parents, even if her adopted ones had given her love. Price was thankful that she grew up well taken care of and is even more thankful that she was given her baby back after the long years. Gilmore has also reunited with her biological brother who picked her and her kids up the airport.

Zella Price has already hired an attorney to help them in the investigation.
