A warning unheeded - Has the world forgotten Fatima? 100 years later, Our Lady's request remains unfulfilled

Pray for the conversion of hearts!

A century ago, thousands of faithful, as well as some skeptics, gathered in a small Portuguese village to see what would happen on October 13, 1917. They were not disappointed, as the sun danced in the sky in what has been called, "the miracle of the sun." But despite all the signs and promises, Our Lady's simple request at Fatima has been largely forgotten.

Our Lady of Fatima called for the conversion of hearts, but the world has forgotten.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) -- It has been a hundred years since Our Lady appeared at Fatima to three children. In addition to giving these children three secrets, she also performed an incredible miracle, the miracle of the sun, witnessed by thousands of people. In exchange, Our Lady made one request, for the conversion of our hearts to Jesus.

One by one, the secrets of Fatima were revealed and came to pass. The Third secret is still subject to debate, but Pope John Paul II believed the attempt on his life was a fulfillment of that secret. Whether the third secret has come to pass, or shall soon come to pass, is of minor concern when compared to the greater problem. That problem is that Our Lady called for the conversion of hearts at Fatima, and it has not happened.

If anything, more people than ever have fallen away from the Church and blundered into errors.

Fatima is not just the name of the town where Our Lady appeared, it is also the name of Mohamed's youngest daughter. Why would Our Lady appear at a location named for the daughter of Islam's prophet? Could this too be a triumphant message?

Despite every sign, miracle, secret, message and promise, much of the world has ignored Our Lady. We are so busy looking at tiny screens that we forget to look up to heaven, or to pray.

What is the consequence of this error?

Our Lady does not punish. She is merely a messenger, a guide who points towards her son, Jesus Christ. If there is any punishment due, it is we who punish ourselves. We are like thirsty people who refuse to drink from the sweetest spring because our pride is too great.

By ignoring the message of Fatima, billions of people have left themselves without the goodness that devotion to Jesus Christ and Our Lady can provide.

Without God, what becomes of the world? Perhaps we are seeing it, as war, and the threat of war grows. The wealthy become wealthier, but all the people struggle. Marriage has been written off as an "anachronism." Atheism has spread. Moral behavior is published and labeled vice, while vice is paraded in the streets. We slaughter babies in the womb, and the evil have hopes of slaughtering the old in their beds. This trend will continue as long as pews remain unfilled and lips stay silent.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

There is only one instrument that can reverse this, and it is prayer. Prayer is the only way in which a person's heart can be converted, and only converted hearts can understand the mysteries of the faith.

We cannot force, or legislate, or threaten people into good behavior. All people must choose righteousness for themselves. By praying ourselves, by ensuring the purity of our hearts, and by living good, Christian lives, filled with charity, love and compassion, we can serve as witnesses for Christ, evangelizing ourselves, our brother and sister Catholics, and the world. Others will be attracted by our goodness and the grace of God will spread, leading to their conversion.

Fatima was a blessing, but a warning too. Our time is short, and there is much work to do. It is prayer that works and conversion of the heart that matters. Let us pray, let us focus on our own conversions. Let us live Christlike lives, filled with love and compassion. Those of us who live in accord with Our Lady's request have nothing to fear, for she has already triumphed over evil!

- Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces.

- I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.

- The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.

- It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the heart of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

- The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.

- Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered and never overwhelmed by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death (unprepared for heaven). The sinner shall convert. The just shall grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.

- Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.

- Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have, during their life and at their death, the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.

- I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.

- The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.

- You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.

- All those who propagate the holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.

- I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.

- All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ.

- Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
