Footage reveals the child's peril and her saviors' swift actions.

Time and time again Pope Francis calls for Christian unity. Well, it was certainly unity that saved a 3-year-old girl from being crushed by a train in Qinghai, China.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Different people have different interpretations of Pope Francis' call for Christian unity.

Some believe the Pope's words are limited to what is happening on a national level, primarily aimed at governments - but that is not the case.

Anyone can join with anyone else for any cause and we have been called to help those in need. In fact, Pope Francis' February prayer intention calls for helping those who need it most, and a 3-year-old girl in China was most definitely in need.

Footage from the Xining Railway Station revealed the child walking beside her mother toward a train already at the station.

Nothing seems amiss until the playful little girl, eyes on the large locomotive before her, playfully runs up to the steel behemoth.

Before she can reach the train, she falls onto the tracks, not seeing the large gap between the platform and the train.

Her mother launches into action immediately and attempts to pull her child from what would surely be her death as other passengers run up to help.

There was no need for words as strangers came together to do the Christian, morally right thing: Save a little girl's life.

For several tense seconds, the group struggled to pull the child from the tracks. Finally, after what seems like hours, she is successfully pulled up and reunited with her relived mother.

A railway security officer told CCTV News: "When the train stops at the platform, the eight-inch-wide gap between the train and platform is very easy for children to fall into. If it was not discovered immediately, the result would have been unimaginable."

Thankfully, that lucky child and mother were able to return home that day, thankful for the help of others.
