Ever since the reveal of the Third Secret of Fatima in 2000, several people have insisted there's more to the secret than what the public was told. These rumors have taken a life of their own, prompting the Holy See to speak out against them.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - On May 21, the Holy See made clear that the full Third Secret has been revealed. In referring to a specific claim that the Third Secret has not been fully revealed, a statement attributed to the then Cardinal Ratzinger, the Holy See has referred to the claim as "absolutely untrue."
The specific claim is that Cardinal Ratzinger spoke with Professor Ingo Dollinger, who claims the Cardinal told him about an unpublished portion of the Third Secret of Fatima. The Holy See's statement read:
"In this regard, Pope emeritus Benedict XVI declares 'never to have spoken with Professor Dollinger about Fatima', clearly affirming that the remarks attributed to Professor Dollinger on the matter 'are pure inventions, absolutely untrue', and he confirms decisively that 'the publication of the Third Secret of Fatima is complete.'"
The Secrets of Fatima were given by the Virgin Mary during an apparition before three Portuguese children outside Fatima, Portugal in 1917. The secrets included predictions, all of which have arguably come true.
However, a series of one-off quotes and other interpretations of statements by people close to the secrets, has caused some to believe that there's more to the Third Secret, or even a Fourth Secret that isn't being shared with the people of the Church.
The Holy See's statement is an attempt to quell that rumor and lay the issue to rest for good. Unfortunately, it isn't likely to silence many believers in the Fourth Secret, because that's just how these things work.
