Josiah Duncan was not going to let a homeless man go hungry.

During his meal at a Waffle House restaurant, 5-year-old Josiah Duncan's attention wandered to the man outside the establishment. The man, dirty and holding a plastic bag, became the center of the young boy's curiosity and concern. After learning from her mother that he was a homeless person, Josiah did something that tapped the hearts of everyone inside the restaurant.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Curious Josiah asked what his mother meant by homeless. Soon, he learned that being homeless also meant he probably has no family or friends to visit and no food to eat.

That bothered Josiah the most; he told his mother they should feed him, which she happily agreed on.

"He came in and sat down, and nobody really waited on him. So Josiah jumped up and asked him if he needed a menu because you can't order without one," said Ava Faulk, Josiah's mom, in an interview with WSFA-TV.

They told the man he could order any food of his choice, whatever he wanted to eat. A good serving of bacon was served, according to The Blaze. At this point, Faulk said that there were about 11 people present in the restaurant, observing her young son's act of faith.

"God our Father, God our Father, we thank you, we thank you, for our many blessings, for our many blessings, Amen, Amen," praised Josiah with much passion, touching the people inside the restaurant.

Faulk explained that observers cried as her son did his final gestures, including her. "The man cried. I cried. Everybody cried," said Josiah's mother.

After finishing his food, the man left the restaurant to a place unknown. Nevertheless, he surely will not forget young Josiah, the boy with passionate faith.
