From Colorado to Germany, Easter is celelbrated in many differnet ways.

Christians all over the world observed the Lenten Season and ended with the celebration of Easter Sunday, the symbolism of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Across the globe, believers from different countries celebrated in various ways. With the use of social media, here are twelve of the celebrations captured in wonderful photos posted on the internet.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) -

1. Pope Francis made an Easter peace wish; delivered the Urbi et Orbi.

In the center of the Church in the Vatican State, the pope had delivered the 'to the city and to the world' blessing at the end of the mass during the celebration of the Easter Sunday in the St. Peter's Square.

2. The German minority Sorbs celebrated with their traditional procession on horseback near Zerkwitz in Eastern Germany.

Hundreds of Christian men participated wearing their old-fashioned frock-coats and top hats and carried flags, crosses and statues of Jesus from one village to another.

3. There are a lot of people throughout the world celebrated in receiving sacraments.

In India, many Christians observed Easter Sunday through having their baptisms, confirmations and their First Holy Communion, making the celebration more meaningful.

4. A tropical storm did not stop Easter Sunday in the Philippines.

Although the tropical storm Maysak had weakened before hitting the country, dark clouds were observed and partially covered the sun as seen above a church in Quezon City.

5. Easter Sunday sunrise.

In Florida, services are conducted by the beach on their 81st annual Easter Service on Fort Lauderdale beach where they also waited for the Easter sunrise.

6. Christians in Colorado went also to see the sunrise.

Thousands had joined the sunrise service for the Easter Sunday in the Red Rocks in Colorado, which has been a tradition for 68 years.

7. People flocked the Lincoln Memorial for a sunrise service.

In Washington D.C., thousands of people also went to participate at the 37th Annual Easter Service at the Lincoln Memorial.

8. US Soldiers also celebrated Jesus' resurrection.

A photo from the Twitter account of the US Forces in Afghanistan also showed their sunrise service and a greeting of "Happy Easter" to all.

9. In other parts of the world, Easter is not celebrated yet but the Palm Sunday.

The Egyptian Orthodox Christians, due to different calendars being used, celebrated the Palm Sunday in Samaan el-Kharaz Church in Cairo.

10. Orthodox Christians are celebrating Easter on April 12.

In Jerusalem, believers attended the celebration of the Palm Sunday in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher which is traditionally believed as the site of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and burial.

No matter when and how they had celebrated, Christians were united in the belief of the death and resurrection of the Savior.
