Catholic Church is the only entity which can reliably eradicate world hunger.

Pope Francis is a very busy man these days, so we see a little less of him than we'd like. However, the Holy Father will be out in full force next week as part of his "Week of Action" (Oct. 12-18) to end world hunger.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Pope Francis is calling an all Catholics around the globe to join him in his "Week of Action" to end world hunger. The "Week of Action" is part of Pope Francis' One Human Family, Food for All campaign with Caritas Internationalis. Your Catholic Voice Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation, is also supporting this mission by collecting donations for food.

It was almost a year ago when Pope Francis declared it part of his mission to eradicate world hunger by 2025. The idea of eradicating world hunger seemed far-fetched at the moment, but subsequent studies by both the Church as well as the United Nations and their affiliates determined that this goal is much easier to realize than assumed.

JOIN POPE FRANCIS NOW!

Already the world produces plenty of food for people to eat. Unfortunately, distribution networks require improvements and corruption often perpetuates poverty which is itself the chief cause of hunger.

Changes such as an overall rise in the standard of living around the globe and slowly developing infrastructure networks are bringing even the most remote and distressed regions within reach of charitable organizations like the Catholic Church.

In fact, the Catholic Church has been identified as the key agent in the process.

The Catholic Church has over 1 billion members in every country of the planet and has a fairly reliable distribution network of its own. Its representatives are committed to honesty and integrity as well as to serving the poor and disadvantaged. These facts position the Catholic Church to make a difference that most governments-and even the United Nations could envy.

The secret component are the people themselves, individual parishioners who can be motivated to help by the millions, at word of the Pope.

Next week, that word will be given. Pope Francis is once again asking every Catholic to help send food to aid the poor. His campaign of 'Prayer and Action' will continue unabated until world hunger is eradicated.

The deadline is less than a decade away. Millions of people are quick to pray, but precious few act upon their prayers. Prayer is most effective when it is combined with action.

Please join Pope Francis now in his campaign of 'Prayer and Action' to eradicate world hunger.
We are close to achieving this goal, let's not lose heart so close to the finish. Please check your budget and do what you can. Even a little bit helps.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.
