span style="line-height: 1.22;">LOS ANGELES, CA - Every day when we awake is a new adventure. Some days are filled with joy and excitement, yet others, not so much, as disappointment and frustration may be the trend in more challenging days. Either way, we learn, and grow and are able to spread our wings and make decisions on our own behalf.

We get to choose to allow our own negative or positive thoughts, circumstances or other people to control us, or we can dedicate our days to living in contentment and peace regardless of the situations we are presented with. Clearly, it is all about life choices.

Pray deeply with your new rosary

For when we learn to walk by faith, not by sight, we are accorded the privilege of the peace and contentment consistent with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is by grace alone we are accorded such a blessed, divine gift. Freely instilled in the faithful by Our Lord, we are able to stand firm in our beliefs, and have unwavering trust in God even through winds of adversity as they attempt to topple us in great storms.

This past year, I consistently prayed for joy and peace, and the Lord answered those prayers in mighty ways. This year I plan to continue that prayer, with one addition. To pray that I will grow in contentment and gratitude to God for all of my many blessings. Rather than the usual New Year's resolutions that go by the wayside and sometimes focus on the negative, I plan to grow in contentment giving God the credit for all He has bestowed on me and my loved ones.
