'I didn't know (O'Relly's secret weapon) was just a pretty girl that he would bring here,' Rangel says

"O'Reilly Factor" guest host Laura Ingraham got into an intense argument with Rep. Charlie Rangel Thursday. Ingraham brought Rangel on to discuss black unemployment, in addition to Rep. Allen West's controversial comments about the Democratic Party, which the Republican likened to a "plantation" for the modern black community. The interview swiftly descended into chaos, as both host and guest clashed at the onset.

Denounced by Rep. Charlie Rangel as just being 'a pretty girl,' Laura Ingraham currently enjoys the status of being the most listened-to woman in political talk radio in the U.S.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Ingraham began the program by replaying West's "plantation" comments and then asked Rangel what his issue was with the word choice.

"I'm trying to figure out what words we can use and what words we can't use," she said. "What do you mean can't?" Rangel shot back. "You're confused whether or not you can use 'plantation' to a black Republican?"

From that point, Ingraham and Rangel stepped on each other's words. Ingraham fired numerous questions about the War on Poverty, about liberalism, about President Obama and Rangel kept objecting to each question as it was asked.

"This is something entirely different from what you just asked!" Rangel said at one point, loudly sighing at another juncture in the conversation. Rangel told Ingraham that her questions "sound like mini-speeches." "Maybe you don't get real questions from real people," she replied.

Rangel then made a statement that many feel stepped on some highly sensitive toes.
"Bill O'Reilly told me he had a secret weapon," he said. "I didn't know it was just a pretty girl that he would bring here."

"That's very condescending, sir!" Ingraham fired back. "These are serious questions."
"You have asked me 50 questions," Rangel said. "I'm begging you. I'm begging you...just ask me one question at a time."

Far from just being "a pretty girl," Ingraham currently enjoys the status of being the most listened-to woman in political talk radio in the U.S. Heard on hundreds of stations nationwide, "The Laura Ingraham Show" has been avidly listened to since it first began to air in 2001.
