'Firearms Equality Movement' gaining steam nationwide

There are a growing number of firearm companies that have suspended the sale of guns to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them. The number of companies participating in the "Firearms Equality Movement," has more than tripled from 34 companies to 118 in the span of two weeks.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The Police Loophole lists every company and links to the statements that each has released regarding their new policies.

"Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens," Wilson Combat, a custom pistol manufacturer located in Berryville, Arkansas said in a statement released last month.

"This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements."

Wilson then lists the states included on its no sale policy as: California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington D.C. and The City of Chicago, Illinois.

"Wilson Combat will in NO way support the government of these states or their anti-gun agenda that only limits the rights of law-abiding citizens. Wilson Combat will continue to supply any product and/or service they can legally sell in these states to all non-government affiliated citizens."

Wilson Combat is a maker of high-end guns, offering custom model 1911 pistols, AR-15-style rifles, tactical shotguns, magazines and other shooting gear. The privately held company, formed in 1977, is headquartered in Berryville in Carroll County and employs 90 people.

More than 110 specialty manufacturers have opted to stop selling firearms and other gear to law enforcement in states and cities with strict firearms-control laws. Known as the Firearms Equality Movement, the goal is to limit law enforcement to the same armaments available legally to the average citizen they police.

Nothing like a photo of the All- American Russian designed AK-47 to go with the article ,the weapon of which ended the lives of thousands of U.S. servicemen in more then one war the gun that was inspired by a WW 2 German design that ended the lives of tens of thousands of American,British and Russian troops in WW2.News Consortium doesn't have a clue do they!

Sounds like a business opportunity to me. I'm sure there is a company out there that is ready to scoop up all this law enforcement busines. Go capitalism.
