Tom Peterson Writes New Book Entitled 'Catholics Come Home - God's Extraordinary Plan for Your Life!'
personal vocation, I am always looking for resources to help in the work. Catholics Come Home is one of the greatest resources available. The effort has reached well over 40 million viewers across the US and over 1.5 million viewers worldwide in the past three years. According to census statistics published by participating dioceses, "Catholics Come Home" ads have helped more than 200,000 fallen away Catholics come home to the Catholic Church.
Now, there is a book which tells the life story of Tom Peterson and the Catholics Come Home Apostolate in a compelling, delightful and accessible way. It is a model of how to do effective personal evangelization. Tom begins his first chapter, entitled "God's Extraordinary Plan for You", by quoting a great evangelizer Saint, Ignatius of Loyola: "Few souls understand what God would accomplish in them if they were to abandon themselves unreservedly to Him and if they were to allow His grace to mold them accordingly."
In doing so he sets the pattern for a popularly written evangelistic book which draws the reader into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the fullness of the Christian faith as found in His Catholic Church. The book is written with the compelling simplicity and love which characterizes personal evangelization and testimony. Tom continues: "God has something extraordinary planned for your life. Let me say that again slowly because it's really important. God has something extraordinary planned for your life!"
"In our fast-paced, highly technological world, this statement might sound a bit lofty, but the lives of mil-lions of souls who have come before us attest to this simple truth: God has a wonderful plan in store for you. God wants you to be happy. He wants you to experience His unfailing compassion. He wants you to feel the warmth of mercy and to share His love with others. God wants you to know that you exist for a reason. Discovering God's plan for your life is rather easy, yet, to be honest, somewhat difficult, too. It starts with saying yes to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to guide you."

The book contains endorsements from several popular Christian evangelists and apologists including Catholics Dr. Peter Kreeft and Patrick Madrid, and evangelical Rick Warren. The endorsement of Dr. Scott Hahn, who also wrote the forward to the book, summarizes its significance in these words: "We are in the midst of a New Evangelization, and I believe this book is a signal moment in its success. This book is a grace from God. It is also a sign that will lead many folks back home to the family of God, which is the Catholic Church."
