Obama played while Banghazi burned

Despite advanced defense capability no order came to protect Libya staff.

New details about the September 11 attacks on a CIA outpost in Benghazi are coming to light. According the US military, the outpost was armed and enjoyed the protection of surveillance drones and laser-equipped machine guns. However, not a single shot was fired in self-defense.

AC-130 gunship can deliver accurate fire against terrorists with laser guidance from the ground. But they need orders first...

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The lasers on the machine guns have two settings. One is visible, and works well to scare away civilians as people realize they are being targeted. The other is invisible, allowing a soldier to target and fire on enemies without being detected before the shot.
The compound was also equipped with target designating lasers which can spot targets on the ground for air support overhead.

Not only was the compound protected with these weapons, which could be used to warn away attackers, and to stop them as a last resort, but the CIA compound had not one, but two predator drones circling overhead, watching the scene below unfold.

Despite this presence, no help was sent, and no action was taken. The CIA operatives and their security detail inside simply waited for death to come, which eventually arrived when multiple mortar shells landed on the roof of the compound.

US military officials explained in a press conference that the predator drones were only sent for surveillance and were unarmed. They added that US drones are not permitted to fly armed missions over Libyan cities, a prohibition imposed by the Libyan government.

Despite the lack of armed drones and air support, the CIA installation was armed. Yet, without permission to return fire, the men inside were simply targets for the al Qaeda terrorists that spent several hours trying to kill them.

While the al Qaeda attack was largely ineffective, as it took hours for them to succeed in killing Americans there, the US response was worse as no return fire was ever offered, not even as a warning.

Which raises the question, why didn't someone do something?

The answer of course, is in the White House. President Obama, too timid to offend his fragile alliances with Libya and other Middle-Eastern states, simply refused to give permission to protect the Americans who were doing his work in Libya.

Politics trumped American lives.

The absolute disregard for American safety overseas is alarming. The failure hints at a president who is incapable of being decisive and strong during moments of crisis. Let's hope there are no more moments of crisis during his administration.

Vance: Unfortunately, what you say is a very distinct possibility but let's trust in God. It is sad that Romney lost but I believe he was meant to lose. I was hopeful for him but I also believe God has other plans. So, maybe.we should be joyful. With abortions being done on demand, gay marriages voted on and approved in many states in the election and most importantly God being BOOED at the DNC, God has had enough. I believe HE now has said, "TIMES UP." I believe HE is now going to "chastize" HIS children that have abandoned HIM and HE is using Obama as HIS instrument to do it. HE has been giving us warnings for a long time now and when Obama was elected in 2008, that was God's "2 minute warning." We did not heed that warning and now, TIMES UP. Bible prophecy is so obvious at this time, that with the help of the Holy Spirit, true Catholics/Christians will be able to grasp some of its meaning. In Daniel 12:9-10, when Daniel told God that he did not understand the meanings of what God told/showed him, God said "Go thy way, Daniel, because the words are to be kept secret and sealed until the end time. Many shall be refined, purified, and tested, but the wicked shall prove wicked; none of them shall have understanding, but the wise shall have it." Now read Revelation, Chapter 7. This is when the "LAMB" opens up the 7th seal. God will protect HIS "elect." I believe (Note: this is my own thought) that the antii-christ is alive and well right now, and will be "revealed" within the next 10 years, maybe sooner. Granted, nobody knows God's thoughts and nobody knows the time and date of the coming of Jesus, but I honestly think that if we are not already prepared for that great day, as we should be, we better get prepared fast. I am presently in a Bible study on the Book of Revelation and we are currently studying the 7 Seals. For clarafication, I am a Catholic, and the Bible study is through my Church. Granted also, when John wrote the Book of Revelation, it was God's judgement on Jerusalem and God's people, at that time. BUT Revelation, like the rest of the Bible, is timeless; therefore, living instruction for all people for all time. It does relate to the endtimes too. A lot of people are blaming Romney for his loss. That is absurd. He did not lose by a landslide, he lost by a very small margin. AND, not as many people voted this time as they did in 2008. Polls show that to be true for Obama also. So, if the polls show that not as many people voted, that tells me that some people (like Libertarians,ie) didn't vote because they were fanatic Ron Paul supporters and refused to vote for anyone. Also, some foolish people voted for a 3rd party, thinking they would be making a statement (that no one really saw or cared about) And then, of course, we had the "perfect storm" that I firmly believe God sent. Like I said, it's time to chastize HIS wayward children. Also, of course, there were people that voted for Obama because of bias regarding Romney' Mormon faith. Sorry, but those people are, well I won't say it. I didn't mean for this to be so long, sorry. Take care, my friend. God bless.

Ijay: Your naivety is showing. Stop listening to the MSM propaganda. Obama is their "messiah" and they will keep all discriminating truth from the public. You really need to expand your news sources and take the blinders off. It is because of people like you that this country is in the mess that it is in. God bless.

As a Catholic I thank you for publishing this article. The next article should read "Obama plays while America Burns".

As a Catholic, I am deeply disappointed at the effort by the writer of this article to mislead readers with the headline. I did not read anything that suggests in the slightest sense that the President did not do all he could in this circumstance. Mistakes might have been made considering what went down, but to suggest that the President would intentionally put Americans in harms way is very insensitive. You can disagree with his politics but lets also behave like Christians. We should be very wary of encouraging war mongering since it is a matter of life and death. It is no walk in the park and the emotional impact lasts forever. All life is precious and should be valued as such. If this is an effort to actively influence this election, it did not work with me.
