Sex-Selection Abortion and China's Brutality: Shall We 'Gulp and Get Over It'?

Well, America, I dare you. Take a long, hard look at Feng Jianmei and her murdered little baby. That's abortion. Don't just gulp and get over it.

Chinese officials dragged 23-yr-old pregnant mother Feng Jianmei from her home and held her three days for a ransom before killing her seven-month-old baby en utero by lethal injection and delivering her tiny corpse after family failed to come up with the cash.  Slate.com's editor Allison Benedikt warned "If your goal is to protect abortion rights, gulp for a second if you must, then get over it."

This is the reality of abortion. This is not a choice. It's a CHILD.

This is the reality of abortion. This is not a choice. It's a CHILD.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Catholic Online) -   When Slate.com editor Allison Benedikt wrote on May 31st that the pro-choice movement in America needs to stop being squeamish about sex-selection abortions and just accept it, I thought my head might explode, but ultimately I said nothing.  One can only respond to so many outrageous things said by the abortion industry and its advocates, and her article was definitely outrageous.

Ms. Benedikt's pièce de résistance was this:  "Also, let's just remember that we are talking about fetuses.  No matter how many ultrasound pics get posted to Facebook, these are fetuses with female genitals or male genitals -- not little boys or little girls.  If pro-choicers object to aborting because of the sex of the fetus, aren't we then saying that abortion is "murdering" girls?  Aren't we basically arguing that a fetus is not a blank slate but a future possibility?  That is not the case to make if your goal is to protect abortion rights.  Gulp for a second if you must, then get over it."

Now you see why I thought my head might explode.

When not instituting wild new pseudo-science and rewriting human biology, Benedikt is like some weird hybrid of hypnotist and Drill Sergeant:  You will NOT acknowledge that instinctual revulsion rising up in your throat at the idea of killing girls just because they're girls!  I know you're a girl, too.  So what?  You will NOT admit that it's wrong!  Listen to me, it's not really a girl anyway!  Swallow hard!  Abortion is good!  Ignore the queasiness in your stomach -- it means nothing.  All that matters is abortion!abortion!abortion!

Blank slates?  Fetuses with female genitals or male genitals?  Benedikt is choking on her own desperation and the desperation of the entire abortion industry.  Since actual science refutes them at every turn and logic and reason are not on their side, they must invent their own "science" and their own logic.  Suddenly that "thing" in the uterus is just a blank slate.  Just an ambiguous creature with genitals that might be male or female, but whatever, it's not a boy or girl.  I wonder when the magic happens that turns the creature into a baby girl or baby boy.

Every rational person knows that Benedikt's argument is preposterous, to put it nicely.  But it's her dictate that everyone just ignore the stirrings of their conscience and squash their uneasiness with the horror of gendercide that is most troubling.  It ought to set off alarm bells in every feminist heart when someone starts preaching the necessity of killing girls merely because they're girls for the sake of women's rights.

It ought to disturb every person professed to be interested in justice and equality that the "choice" to kill girls just because they're girls must be protected and defended for the sake of protecting the "choice" to kill any baby, for any reason whatsoever.  If girls must pay a highly disproportionate price, so be it.  Who cares about girls?

Benedikt is desperate because she knows that anyone who allows themselves to be repulsed by the idea of targeting baby girls in the womb will soon have to question abortion altogether.  How can it be wrong to kill a baby girl but not a baby boy?  How can it be wrong to abort for *this* reason but okay to abort for *that* reason?  No.  Once the veneer of morality is stripped away and the illogic exposed, abortion is revealed for what it truly is every time it happens: the intentional killing of a child.

So if you're going to tell everyone to gulp and then "get over it", then be honest about what you're getting over, Ms. Benedikt:  Killing a child -- killing a girl.  (Thanks for nothing, ya lousy feminists.)

So though her outrageous nonsense was mind-blowing, I decided to ignore Ms. Benedikt and move on.  Until today when I saw the wrenching images of Feng Jianmei and her little baby who'd been forcibly aborted in China just a few weeks ago.  It was more than my heart could take.

Via Jill Stanek:
"On May 30, 20 local Chinese officials dragged 23-yr-old pregnant mother Feng Jianmei from her home and held her three days for a 40,000 yuan ($6250) ransom before killing her seven-month-old baby en utero by lethal injection and delivering her tiny corpse after family failed to come up with the cash."
"At the hospital ...

Mom: Even Jesus had a traitor among his closest friends. Judas was one of His apostles but yet betrayed Him. There are "rogues" in all faiths. The Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus instituted and Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit will always guide Her. Sooo, her teachings are truth because the truth is Jesus. The Church cannot teach false doctrines because she is protected by the Holy Spirit. She is One, Holy, & Apostolic, that doesn't mean that the people in it are holy. We are sinners. All of us, even the clergy. My take on it is, we don't leave Jesus because of Judas. God bless.

I strongly believe that abortion is without question the violent murder of the most innocent of lives. We cannot truly be against the government practices of China if we allow our corporations to manufacture goods in China.

Lastly, I know that as a good Catholic with a strong faith I am not suppose to bring up this subject, but ... I equally believe that child rape by adult men regardless of their profession in life is yet another type of murder. Yet, the outcry for these victims is also sometimes muffled by power and greed. Paedophilia cannot be cured nor treated. For this reason, those with this mental disorder should not be protected by the Catholic Church, nor allowed to serve as priests. This matter has certainly greatly affected my belief in the leaders of the Catholic Church, but not in my belief in all that is right and in my faith in God.

Lest we all forget, take a look around your home, particularly that computer you are posting these responses with. Where is it made? Between Wall Streets almost blood thirst quest for the dollar and our consumer habits, we are just as culpable for feeding this beast. Companies are rewarded in increased stock price when they send their jobs their. Wal-Mart has not become one of the most successful business empires in our country because no one shops there, they have done it because almost everyone shops there. Where do you think all this cheap crap comes from? Our self love and inability to embrace the cross has created an idol out of our standard of living. We've become the country of the fat, happy and lazy who really only wishes to do those things that does not disrupt my life in any way. It's hard enough organizing pro-life activities in our own community, much less come together enough to fight things like this. We've allowed ourselves as a people to become so dividided it's no wonder we can't influence these things. Someday we will hold life to a higher degree than our wallets and actually effect change. Pay close attention, I don't hear any of the candidates talking about abortion. I don't expect Obama too and truthfully, I don't really expect Romney to say more than what he's told to say on it. But what right as a country do we have to tell China anything when abortion is legal in our own country? And so long as we value the economy over life, there is absolutely no way anything will change in this country.

SEND A COPY OF THIS STORY IN THE SNAIL MAIL TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND TELL THEM HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT ABORTION IN THIS COUNTRY.

ALSO SUPPORT SUSAN B. ANTHONY. A CONGRESSMAN JUST HAD THEIR COMPUTERS CONFISCATED BECAUSE THEY ARE RIGHT ABOUT ABORTION.

KEEP IN MIND FOLKS ITS ALRIGHT TO HAVE WOMEN'S RIGHTS BUT HISTORICALLY THE SUFFRAGETTES WHO GOT US THE VOTE NEVER CONDONED ABORTION IN ANYWAY. SUSAN B. ANTHONY NEVER CONDONED THIS PRACTICE.

MAYBE THEY ALSO KNEW LIKE MOTHER THERESA THIS ISNT THE WAY TO SECURE HUMAN RIGHTS FOR ALL.

United States of America borrows money from People's Republic of China--enough that the interest alone provides almost the entire budget for the Chinese People's Army--and then donates some of it voluntarily to United Nations Population Fund, which in turn helps People's Republic of China to execute this brutal totalitarian policy of annihilating its own posterity (especially baby girls). How much longer until this program tyrannizes American women? Well, the federal government very soon will mandate that even Catholic Charities provide free contraception, sterilization, and even abortifacients to all their employees and the wives and the daughters of their employees. That the Catholic Church considers contraception, abortion, and sterilization intrinsically evil matters not; that the Constitution explicitly forbids Congress from making any law establishing religious doctrine or prohibiting the free exercise of religion constitutes an obsolete irrelevancy unworthy of notice. In a few years, the federal government or its contractors will possess and maintain the information necessary to compile a database of who receives these drugs and pseudo-medical procedures.

You state, "If people heed Ms. Benedikt's directive to just 'gulp, then get over it,' the only possible destination is China." Well, I can tell you that the Congress and the President eagerly desire to take us to that destination, and that destination we shall approach.

The genocide of abortion is sinful to God and we must all do our very best to stop it.

Our President took an oath to protect all Americans, yet he condones the butcher doctors of abortion to rip a baby from the Mother's womb for the purpose of killing the child.

This is no different from what the Chinese are doing to their women and their babies.
Murder is murder. America just does it under the guise of Pro Choice.

We all have our choices. Either Life or death in eternal fire.

MAY GOD OPEN PEOPLE'S HEARTS AND HELP US STOP THIS GENOCIDE AROUND THE WORLD

Stuff like this make me cry, no offense, but Im tired of crying, other than praying for these children, I dont see what else can be done, Im not a cold person by any means, but short of a war with china, I dont see what else one can do. Your not going to defeat the communist mindset. All this is terrible.

China is behaving atrociously toward women, especially poor women. This latest case of Feng Jianmei who was dragged to the hospital, head in a bag and beaten along the way, is but one of many injustices that have been enacted on mothers who cannot pay the second child fine. I've written a petition asking China to revisit and restructure its one-child policy: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/408/936/695/china-dont-force-poor-women-to-have-abortions/

If you agree, I hope you will sign it and share with others. Thank you!

Torn apart, His crucifixion continues . . .

In the arms of the Angels little one.

Forgive me for not being there to help you, your mother and father.
Pray for this broken, lost world, too blind and selfish to see its Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ.

When will the world remove the veil of power and greed, deceit and arrogance and ignorance?
When will the world become one as Christ and His Father are One
When will we all be One in Christ?

When will we stop crucifying Christ?
When will we live in His Resurrection?

When will we thank Him with our lives?

    Imagine a world without violence
Imagine a world of Peace and Love

    Imagine
and carry out and implement what you imagine . . .
