Gendercide in America: Planned Parenthoods War on Baby Girls Exposed by Live Action

I see that you're saying that you want to terminate if it's a girl, so are you just wanting to continue the pregnancy in the meantime

"The search-and-destroy targeting of baby girls through prenatal testing and abortion is a pandemic that is spreading across the globe. Research proves that sex-selective abortion has now come to America. The abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, is a willing participant." The U.K., India, Australia, and other countries ban sex-selective abortion, but the U.S., save for three states, does not.

Sex-selective abortion is gender discrimination with lethal consequences for little girls

Sex-selective abortion is gender discrimination with lethal consequences for little girls

WASHINGTON, DC (Catholic Online) - On Wednesday May 30, 2012, the United States House of Representatives will vote on the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA) of 2012, House Bill 3541.

The fact that this horrendous practice takes place in the United States of America should come as no surprise. After all, abortion, the intentional taking of innocent human life in the womb, is legal in America, for any reason. However, many people do not know that includes the practice of gendercide, the intentional killing of a child because of his or her gender.

As a Nation we have rightly decried the intentional abortion of baby girls in India and China. We know that the practice of gendercide reveals and compounds the horrid reality of discrimination against women at every level of those societies. However, many Americans are unaware of the existence of such a practice in our own Nation. The introductory language of the Bill explains the injustice of the practice quite well:

"Women are a vital part of American society and culture and possess the same fundamental human rights and civil rights as men. United States law prohibits the dissimilar treatment of males and females who are similarly situated and prohibits sex discrimination in various contexts, including the provision of employment, education, housing, health insurance coverage, and athletics."

"Sex is an immutable characteristic ascertainable at the earliest stages of human development through existing medical technology and procedures commonly in use, including maternal-fetal bloodstream DNA sampling, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling or ''CVS'', and obstetric ultrasound. In addition to medically assisted sex determination, a growing sex determination niche industry has developed and is marketing low cost commercial products, widely advertised and available, that aid in the sex determination of an unborn child without the aid of medical professionals."

"Experts have demonstrated that the sex-selection industry is on the rise and predict that it will continue to be a growing trend in the United States. Sex determination is always a necessary step to the procurement of a sex-selection abortion.  A ''sex-selection abortion'' is an abortion undertaken for purposes of eliminating an unborn child based on the sex or gender of the child."

"Sex selection abortion is barbaric, and described by scholars and civil rights advocates as an act of sex -based or gender-based violence, predicated on sex discrimination. Sex-selection abortions are typically late-term abortions performed in the 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy, after the unborn child has developed sufficiently to feel pain."

"Substantial medical evidence proves that an unborn child can experience pain at 20 weeks after conception, and perhaps substantially earlier. By definition, sex-selection abortions do not implicate the health of the mother of the unborn, but instead are elective procedures motivated by sex or gender bias."

It would seem that such a barbaric procedure as gendercide would be decried unanimously by the members of the US House of Representatives, right? Sadly, the answer is no. This Bill faces an uphill struggle. Abortion on demand is considered the "third rail" in American Politics by too many elected representatives.

In addition, the Bill is being opposed by strong, well funded interest groups who want to protect abortion of any kind, for diverse reasons. Some of these groups purport to protect women while they fail to oppose a practice which kills baby girls in the womb. You talk about a War on Women? Now that's a real war on women, kill them before they are born and call it a "right". Pure Evil!

Some of the people who oppose this Bill publicly argue that the practice does not occur in the United States. They are absolutely wrong. Just how wrong was underscored on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, when Live Action, the heroic organization founded by Lila Rose, released an undercover Video which is posted at the beginning of this article.

It can also be viewed, along with other very helpful information,at their website. This courageous organization also offers a wonderful resource for information on gendercide called "Protect Our Girls".

The video is the first in a series entitled "Gendercide: Sex Selection in America". This stunning first installment is entitled "The War on baby Girls" The interchange between the Planned Parenthood employee and the woman seeking a late term abortion because she is having a baby girl and wants a baby boy exposes not only the barbarism of Planned Parenthood but the existence of sex selection abortion in the United ...

I am very sure enough that this happens in US. Since the abortion has been legal what will a mother do if the pregnancy she is carrying is not the sex she likes?
May God have Mercy on us!!!

Yes, sex-selection abortion is horrific and I don't doubt for one minute that it happens. But I object to turning this into a War on Women and Girls for the sake of inflaming public opinion and tying it to such practices in China and India. Do you have any evidence that girls are being targeted any more often than boys? Did Live Action go in there asking for an abortion if it was a girl because they knew it would be more inflammatory than asking to abort a boy? I suspect that PP employee would have been just as 'non-judgmental' if the Live Action actress had indicated she already had a boy and wanted to abort if she was pregnant with another one so she could try again for girl.

Make no mistake, I am dead set against any kind of abortion and PP should be shut down and I hope they are. But if this was crafted by Live Action specifically to stir up a "War on Women" argument to gain greater publicity then it will make me suspect other things they do. We can win this war honestly and this is a war on children - boys too. Tactics that are suspect will only undermine the cause by giving opponents ammunition for criticism.

I wonder if you will post this. I've had a couple of other posts ignored when they raised an objective critique. I hope you aren't just wanting to turn the combox into an echo chamber.
