Obama once supported marriage but now he's evolved

President reverses course after comments by Biden.

Barack Obama has become the first US president in history to support homosexual marriage. The remarks come after Vice President Joe Biden voiced his support for such unions in an interview he gave last week. With such publicly stated support, the upcoming presidential election becomes even more critical as the prospect of federal-level legalization now looms.

Obama once supported marriage, but now he's 'evolved.'

Obama once supported marriage, but now he's 'evolved.'

WASHINGTON DC (Catholic Online) - The news is oddly timed, just as voters resoundingly spoke out in defense of marriage in North Carolina by supporting a state amendment that bans gay marriage. Obama said his views on the issue had been an "evolution" of thought processes.

What thought processes can lead the head of state to undermine natural law is unclear, since he did not elaborate on them, but in any case, it represents an alarming trend in Obama's domestic policy.

Over the past year, Obama has waged an increasingly strident war against Christians and social conservatives, especially Catholics, through a variety of means. He has threatened the Church for its refusal to support unethical and moral reproductive behavior, specifically the use of contraceptives, abortifacients, and abortion services. The church and Catholics could face penalties if they do not go along with his edict to provide free coverage for such services to women.

Now, he has openly cast his lot against marriage and family values by supporting the absurd notion that same-sex couples can marry.

While same-sex couples can "legally marry" in some states, such marriages are both physically and spiritually impossible.

The president has stated that he supports allowing the states to choose their position on the issue, however given his hostile position on issues that are meaningful to Christian conservatives; it would be unsurprising to see him take another step in the direction of normalizing unnatural, deviant unions.

The President's commentary will be aired tonight on ABC news and Nightline.

Obama could have been a great president; but his choice for immoral laws will only damage the fabric of society. The family is the unit of society and only laws to make the family unit survive will make the country great and respected. It is a pity Obama has lost his chance for greatrness

this is not a matter of evolution on his part, it's a pathetic attempt to get votes........he has done such a bad job that even his own team has turned on him and he is just trying to get any part of the base to look upon him with favor...........sad really........

The Minority rules, support agenda, take the money and run,to hell with the popular vote as it doesn't mean a thing, just rule it unconstitutional,of coarse the Constitution is just a quaint old document,no-one seriously believes in it at all, really, particularly legislators and a President, who willing denounce, common law, health laws and all common sense. Leave it to the states to decide? That is a laugh,as they will only be allowed ultimately,to have strange bedfellow marriages stuffed down the throats of those states that don't want it made law. Why? Because it is DISCRIMINATION! America is soon and fast on its way to become a corrupt 3rd world country, corrupt government, economically broke and morally broken. It's okay so called "Super Powers" don't historically more than 200 years anyway. Thats Historical So called FACT! RIght! They Should! Take in God we Trust off of the almighty dollar and replace it with In GAWD We TRUST! Much more appropriate!

This is just a political stunt by Obama and an opportunity for good ratings on ABC and Nightline.
For that reason alone, I will not be tuning in to ABC or Nightline.
For me, the presidents message will fall on deaf ears.

I choose to only listen to the words of God.

Our country is in deep trouble. We really need to pray for this president. All I can think is we need to pray every day and also fasting. Maybe his heart will change.
