countries, including the United States, has begun.

While I know that the vast majority of you are enthusiastic about making this transition, I realize that some may still have questions and concerns about the prospect of entering the Roman Catholic Church. In the weeks ahead, prior to the congregational meeting, I will invite a series of guests to speak about their experience of life in the Catholic Church and to answer questions. Some of these guests will be well-known to you; indeed they will include former parishioners and clergy of Mount Calvary. I think all of them will be helpful in allaying any fears there may be.

Let me conclude by saying how truly grateful I am to be leading Mount Calvary Church at this moment in time. When I became your rector over four years ago, I had not the faintest idea that this would be the journey we would take together. Nonetheless, there is not a doubt in my mind that this is the work of the Holy Spirit and truly the will of God, not simply for me, but for Mount Calvary.

This is not about rejecting our past and our heritage, but rather fulfilling it. We have before us the opportunity to carry with us the richness of the Anglican tradition into full communion with the wider Catholic Church. I therefore ask that each of you pray that God's will be done in this place which we all love so dearly as we approach this momentous decision.

Yours in Christ,

The Rev'd Jason Catania, SSC
Rector

That's all very well and good -- but how long before the parish is sued by TEC? Sadly, that's all TEC seems to be known for these days -- "How many lawsuits have we started today?"

"Out of the Church - The One Holy Catholic Roman and Apostolic ) there is positively no salvation" De Fide ( of the faith) 4th Lat. Council 1215. Whether from birth or conversion all those who are baptized and die Catholic fullfill the requirements for eternal happiness, all have an equal share in salvation. Of course one will have to account for their sins and Catholics who die unrepentant lacking the state of grace suffer the serious and awful torments because their responsibility was the greater as they had the truth.
The terrible attack on holy Mother Church is now apocalpytic, the weeds grow with the wheat, just as from the first, one of the twelve was a traitor, so today ecumenism and moderism devastate the church. It is only a matter of time before all will be returned to tradition and the Mass of Our Lord and the Apostles. To be Catholic is a great and enormous grace. Our Lady said in the 1600S to Sr. Mary of Agreda, be thankful that you are Catholic, by whatever means, for if your soul was infused into a Muslim, pagan, or a Jew, you would be near assured of eternal damnation and when you die you will be enlightened that it was not by chance or by your merits that you died a Catholic but by a very special providence of God. The labourers came at the beginning, in the middle, and even on the last day, but all recieved the same pay. God bless these people who come of their own free will and the special grace of God, at the same time so many that have the grace of the faith have abandoned it or betrayed it in their lives.

    To Bovine Bloviator
Many of us who were born into the Catholic Church of Roman have never been happy about the results of Vatican II.
More so now than when it occurred we see the destruction and damage Vatican II unleashed on the church and the world at large.
Most of us would welcome less openness and love to have the music, standards, decorum of pre Vatican II.
