IT'S TREASON! U.S. Gov't allowing drug cartel imports to saturate country in exchange for 'information.'
What ever happened to morality and justice?
It may be nothing short of treason itself, or at least misprision of treason. According to an investigative report by El Universal and detailed in English in the Business Insider, the United States government worked with the Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico, allowing their shipments into the United States and protecting their officers from enforcement in exchange for information on other cartels. Most of the drugs in the Chicago area are products of the Sinaloa cartel. Fast and Furious was staged to arm the cartel.
An investigative report by El Universal and reported on in English by the Business Insider alleges that the U.S. government worked closely with officers of the Sinaloa Cartel, allowing their drug shipments to pass unhindered into the U.S. in exchange for information on other cartels. The operation Fast and Furious was staged to provide arms to the cartel.
Saint Michael protect us! We need you now!
Both actions have resulted in countless deaths. Fast and Furious weapons have been killed at least one U.S. agent and possibly hundreds of people in Mexico. The drugs of the Sinaloa Cartel, which are chiefly shipped into the Chicago area but are present in other cities as well, have ravaged possibly hundreds of thousands of people, spurred violent crime, theft, vandalism, and ripped families apart. Law enforcement officers have lost their lives fighting these drugs and their gang peddlers on the street. Humans have been trafficked and enslaved.
There can be no greater treason than if our government poisoned and shot at the citizens and law enforcement agents of this country.
This isn't hyperbole. This is fact. Our government officials are sworn to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law. There can be no deals with drug cartels and the agents of vice.
As Homer spoke centuries ago, "There are no compacts between lions and men, and wolves and lambs have no concord."
Yet, in America they do.
The investigation reported that between 2002 and 2012, the Sinaloa Cartel was permitted to smuggle billions of dollars worth of drugs into the United States in exchange for information on rival cartels. What specific information hasn't been detailed.
The allegations come from court documents and contain, "corroborating testimony from a DEA agent and a Justice Department official," according to Business Insider.
El Universal was thorough in its investigation, reports the Business Insider:
"The DEA agents met with members of the cartel in Mexico to obtain information about their rivals and simultaneously built a network of informants who sign drug cooperation agreements, subject to results, to enable them to obtain future benefits, including cancellation of charges in the U.S.," reports El Universal, which also interviewed more than one hundred active and retired police officers as well as prisoners and experts.
The deal even had Sinaloa Cartel officers clamoring for immunity in cases where they were arrested in the U.S. The Business Insider explained:
"Zambada-Niebla's lawyer claimed to the court that in the late 1990s, Castro struck a deal with U.S. agents in which Sinaloa would provide information about rival drug trafficking organizations while the U.S. would dismiss its case against the Sinaloa lawyer and refrain from interfering with Sinaloa drug trafficking activities or actively prosecuting Sinaloa leadership.
"The agents stated that this arrangement had been approved by high-ranking officials and federal prosecutors," Zambada-Niebla lawyer wrote.
"After being extradited to Chicago in February 2010, Zambada-Niebla argued that he was also "immune from arrest or prosecution" because he actively provided information to U.S. federal agents.
"Zambada-Niebla also alleged that Operation Fast and Furious was part of an agreement to finance and arm the cartel in exchange for information used to take down its rivals. (If true, that re-raises the issue regarding what Attorney General Eric Holder knew about the gun-running arrangements.)"
If these documents are true, and there's every reason to believe they are credible, then some very high government officials were either asleep at the wheel or actively endorsed these operations. In any case, they were responsible for them.
It can be reasoned that the arrangement limited violence in other areas or in other ways. Yet, this is not how our government is supposed to operate according to the law or by any standard of morality. You cannot say that a violent death in one place is less important than a violent death in another. We cannot permit a little wrong to do a greater good elsewhere because we must strive to good always, everywhere. However, for whatever bizarre justification which remains hidden from the American people, our elected and appointed officials have decided in their wisdom to sponsor drugs and violence in the U.S.
All without notice to the people or police of Chicago, where an estimated 80 percent of the drugs are of Sinaloa manufacture.
If this doesn't turn your stomach and crush any naiveté about the true nature of our government, then nothing will.
And to think, Obama came from Chicago.
