Cecile Richards calls Catholics to open rebellion against their Bishops and the infallible teaching of their Church.
(Pictured: Cecile Richards and then Presidential Candidate Barack Obama) There is nothing 'reproductive' about abortion, it always kills a child. It is certainly not a service to the child, the mother, the father or society. Nor is it ever 'health care'. It is feticide. Funding it is morally repugnant.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Catholic Online) - The biography on the web site of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund proclaims: “Cecile Richards is president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Over the course of her career, she has become a nationally recognized progressive leader and a fierce advocate for reproductive health and rights. Since coming to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund in February 2006, Ms. Richards has led the organization to many significant achievements, including its success in targeting November 2006 electoral races in the heartland of America, leading to pro-choice wins in the gubernatorial races in Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin, as well as numerous state legislative gains across the region.
"As President of the Action Fund, Ms. Richards oversees its engagement in educational and electoral activity, including legislative advocacy, voter education, and grassroots organizing. Ms. Richards also oversees the Planned Parenthood Action Fund Political Action Committee (Planned Parenthood Federal PAC), a nonpartisan political action committee committed to supporting pro-choice, pro-family planning candidates for federal office. Before joining Planned Parenthood, Ms. Richards served as deputy chief of staff for Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and played a key role in her election as the Democratic leader in the House of Representatives.” Hmmm???
Now, Ms. Richards, who is also the President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, is trying to add another credential to her biography, she wants to call Catholics to open rebellion against their Bishops and the infallible teaching of their Church on the inviolable dignity of every human life from conception to natural death. Her former boss, Nancy Pelosi, who is in open rebellion with the Church into which she was baptized, needs her help to pass a “Health Care Reform” Bill. This bill will, without amendment, open the door to the use of our tax dollars for the killing of our first neighbors in the womb. Ms. Richards is eager to oblige. Catholics must not let her get away with it.
Planned Parenthood is built on a lie. They have dressed themselves up as a “Health Care Provider” while they include the taking of the lives of innocent children in the womb as a “service” under their offering of “reproductive services” to unwary women. They have insinuated themselves into the global delivery of purported “medical services” and are receiving massive government funding which they hope to increase so that, among other things, they can increase their abortion “services”. There is nothing “reproductive” about abortion, it always kills a child. It is certainly not a service to the child, the mother, the father or society. Nor is it ever “health care”. It is feticide. Funding it is morally repugnant. Planned Parenthood is the leading institutional champion of a culture which has redefined “choice” to include killing young innocent human life and “freedom” to include the commission of unspeakable horrors against an entire class of people, children in the first home of the whole human race.
In its 2207 – 2008 Annual Report the organization boasted of its work with these words: “Planned Parenthood is the leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider, with 93 years under our belt. And in the near future, we will play a unique role in helping to shape the health agenda for the new administration.” And they are very close to accomplishing the boast, except for the clout of the Catholic Church which has now undertaken one of the largest mobilizations in American political history to prevent the passage of the current “Health Care” reform without clear amendments which would absolutely preclude the taking of innocent human life. Cecile Richards is upset. This is not the kind of religious leadership she or her organization like. They prefer fraudulent claims of religion.
The organization recently honored a woman who referred to the killing of children in the womb through surgical strikes and chemical weapons as “Sacred Work” and “Prophetic Work”. The recipient of the 2008 Davis Distinguished Service Award was Rev. Deborah McKinley. They boasted in the same report that she was “the first woman to receive the honor.” In accepting the award, Rev. McKinley said “I want to talk with you today about prophets. Prophets are rarely welcomed with open arms. They are often kept at arm's length. Because prophets make people uncomfortable. I speak of a prophet not as one who predicts the future. Biblical prophets did not predict the future. Prophets see the world as it is. They name it for what it is, and call for change. They speak the truth. They speak God's truth. You and I, I believe, are also prophets. The work we do, on behalf of women and men, is prophetic work. I know this is said every year — but it's true: the work we do is sacred work. ...
I have had enough. I want our Cardinals and our congregation to start a petition and send it every legislator.
I want to try to force Pelosi to resign or out of office. When big business feels empowered to take on the Pope and the teachings of the Vatican, and the values of our Lord, its time fight back aggressively.

Leave some work for God our Creator. Let him alone decide the continuity of the human race. If the Parents plan for parenthood by killing their unborn, they must be through with their parental duties.
