Rick Santorum speaks out on overturning of Prop. 8

Denounces it as 'another in a long line of radical activist rulings by this rogue circuit'

Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum made the following statement in response to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling on Proposition 8 - the 2008 ballot initiative codifying the traditional definition of marriage as one-man and one-woman.

'Today's decision by the 9th Circuit is another in a long line of radical activist rulings by this rogue circuit - and it is precisely why I have called for that circuit to be abolished and split up,' GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum says.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Rick Santorum said: "Today's decision by the 9th Circuit is another in a long line of radical activist rulings by this rogue circuit - and it is precisely why I have called for that circuit to be abolished and split up. Marriage is defined and has always been defined as 'one man and one woman.' We simply cannot allow 50 different definitions of marriage.

The people of California spoke clearly at the ballot box that they wanted marriage defined in the traditional manner of one man and one woman. And for a court, any court, to usurp the power and will of the people in this manner on an issue this fundamental to the foundation of our society is wrong.

We need to have a Judicial Branch that acts within its Constitutional bounds. We need to have a President that is willing to stand up to the Judiciary. We need to have a President who will fight to protect marriage once and for all with a federal marriage amendment. I am committed to being that President."

Prop 8 is about the power of the voting public and how much that means. Agenda is obviously much more important. The vote has become a joke as the people MUST accept a MANDATE. A Judge is an employee of the People not one who has the authority to laud HIS POWER over all! If the GBLT people think they got JUSTICE they haven't and never will. There is no judicial system to sincerely care about their rights either. Here come "THE JUDGE"obey or else your all screwed, liberal or conservative, for or against the total redefinition of marriage or family,in the end no gain for anyone. It will always be a moral dogfight as the issue breeds only hatred and divisiveness. The judges make a lot of bucks by seeing that the whole issue remains a stalemate and that goes for all politicians,as the issue remains a hot button who to vote for issue.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all Catholics voted for Santorum and we had a real man of God as our president. Perhaps we wouldn't be second class citizens any more. Catholics could elect him, just as they elected Obama.
