Fred Bartels is a published author and freelance writer who feels called to inform the world of the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith. He is a former flight instructor, airline pilot, and owner of two HVAC service businesses in Colorado. Currently he is involved in parish ministry, including RCIA, Confirmation Catechist, Breaking Open the Word Facilitator, Sacristan, and serves as an M.C. during Mass, training and directing the altar servers. Fred is also studying theology at Catholic Distance University.

Fred is convinced that those who find, love, and adhere to the fullness of truth found in the Catholic Church are provided with the key that unlocks the great mysteries of life, mysteries each person often ponders, such as why man exists, what his purpose is, and where he is headed. He knows the Church, as a beacon of light set on a hill, presents to the world reality as it is. The Church is, therefore, the answer to life's most important and pressing questions, whether they be social, moral, or spiritual. The Bride of Christ is God's plan for the world and the gateway to salvation, where we receive truth in her word and life in her sacraments. Thus we ought to live the Catholic life, always and everywhere.
