St. Francis of Assisi Comments

Founder of the Franciscan Order, born at Assisi in Umbria, in 1181. In 1182, Pietro Bernardone returned from a trip to France to find out his wife had given birth to a son. Far from being excited or apologetic because he'd been gone, Pietro was furious because she'd had his new son baptized Giovanni after John the Baptist. I pray for the soul of my beloved Joe. He was killed by a man who castrated him and choked Joe to death as he bled. This cruel man in Tok Alaska! I pray for all the worst things in life to happen to him. I can do nothing but let the trooper deal with the issue. I need to know Joe will be with God.

This website was very helpful. I recommend it to anyone researching for a history project, or even anyone who just wants to know some facts, out of curiosity. It provides many interesting/helpful facts (depending what you need information for, but no matter what, this website gives good info). This website is perfect for learning about saint Francis of Assisi.

Saint Francis's story was very inspiring and the article was very helpful. He is the saint I am choosing for my confirmation name. While I may not be quite so willing to give everything I own (I'm too modest to preach half naked in the winter), I do think what he did was amazing!
