St. Brigid of Ireland Comments
Brigid was probably born at Faughart near Dundalk, Louth, Ireland. Her parents were baptized by St. Patrick, with whom she developed a close friendship. According to legend, her father was Dubhthach, an Irish chieftain of Lienster, and her mother, Brocca, was a slave at his court. St Brigid of Ireland, pray for me that i heal all illnesses and prevent any evil curses that may come along my ways, You had a kind heart for the poor and less fortunate people and you embraced whole heartedly and pray for me that i follow your ways in the best ways possible. I ask all this through our Lord Jesus Christ who reigns forever and ever. Praise and blessed is his name.

Dear St. Brigid of Ireland, I so admire you and think that you are blessed to have been surrounded by St.Patrick, St Macaille and St. Mel. Yes, we must be wondering if that is possible for us in this day and age to have the company of such holiness. I do think that Jesus sends holy and saintly people into our lives for us to share the happiness of knowing Christ and His beloved Mother Mary. I used to enjoy sharing Christ with some special people, especially, my mother. And when our time on this passes, we'll continue the communion with the saints in Heaven. Life on earth is passing, but life eternal is the reward of our troubles, toils and travail. Amen.
I am one more who took Brigid for my confirmation name and I don't see my favourite legend either --that she rode out from her father's castle on a fine horse wearing a fabulous cape full of jewels, and when she saw the poverty of the people she tore the jewels out of the cloak and tossed them to the poor.
Taken this name for confirmation yea!!!!
this saint is a beutiful inspiration and is my confirmation name she is a pleasure to take such a beautiful name !!
