Dear St. Elizabeth, sweet cousin of Mary, and mother of St. John the Baptist. How great you are, but never has a word of boast escaped your lips. Your husband Zachary was visited by the Angel to hear of your conceiveing a son. You greeted Mother Mary at the Visitation and listened to the Magnificat, You rejoiced in the revelations that God gave you and you believed in them immediately. What a woman of faith and love.
You must have wondered at the austere lifestyle of your famous son, who lived in the wilderness, dressed in sheepskin and ate wild honey. And he admonished sinners openly too, incurring the hatred of Herod and his wife. What did you think? Not a word of complaint escaped your lips because you lived for God and God alone, You must have enjoyed the Cousins playing together as little infants and growing up together as teenagers. Yet when St John the Baptist was beheaded you must have grieved.
St Elizabeth, I chose you as my Confirmation saint. Bless me today, with amazing spiritual graces. Give me just a little bit of self-restraint and a little bit of courage to become a saint, for we are all called to sainthood. Otherwise, what else could there be in our mission on earth? Another message I take away is that we are never too old to serve the Lord, which is what you did so wonderfullly. Thank you dear St. Elizabeth. Amen

To whom may be interested. I too share the name Elizabeth as my confirmation name and truley believe this woman held an incredible truth of god's love so very dear to her heart. Her display for god's love and word, transformed her life in such a way even the imagination was left to be desired For what she held onto displayed the utmost trust in the righteous one, there was no room for doubt in her thoughts she had transformed her pysiological state of thinking to be one of which was truley on a higher plain. 'His ways are beyond our ways his thoughts are beyond our thoughts.' She must have known of such a great love to think like this. But how? And why? The only answer that makes any sense to me is because she experienced this great love. "Love is merely a heart felt quaver so heavenly and deep, there is no window for image nor wealth just something true and pure, a gift from above."
