Hi! I'm an 8th grade student currently going through Confirmation. I chose saint Cecilia as my saint and this site has helped me so much. It was truly the reason I chose St. Cecilia. Thanks so much!
i love the story of her..indeed i`m glad we got the same name..pray for st.Cecilia
I still don't know anything that I was looking for. Did she have siblings? When was she canonized? Birthday? Death date? Maybe no ones knows.
Any bio on a Saint's life should not leave you with a feeling of doubt. I didn't appreciate this one for the beginning section. It downplays the historical value, and emphasizes superstition. I love the story of St. Cecilia as told with the faith of the church that has venerated her for ages. St. Cecilia, PLEASE, pray for us.
Absolutely glorious! I am preparing to sing with others for a Memorial Mass to be held for St. Cecilia on November 21 in Dallas, TX at Cathedral Guadalupe and now it will be so much more than I imagined after reading this story of her on this site. I love it!!
