St. Rita was born at Spoleto, Italy in 1381. At an early age, she begged her parents to allow her to enter a convent. Instead they arranged a marriage for her. Rita became a good wife and mother, but her husband was a man of violent temper. In anger he often mistreated his wife. He taught their children his own evil ways. A message about Saint Rita came to me unexpectedly today, from a friend. St. Rita was my mother's chosen name for her adult Confirmation sacrament. I was surprised at this mention of St. Rita today. (A friend saw her statue in at prominent Denver church today.) I began to cry, remembering back. 'Evelyn May Mary Rita' was my mama. (Mary and Rita chosen after her conversion to the Catholic Church.)
In remembrance of my mother, and St. Rita, I humbly ask St. Rita to intercede with me, in prayer to Jesus, for my son, Patrick Andrew Casteel, who is gravely ill with diabetes, and now on dialysis, and on a transplant list. He is 47 years old. He is in Pittsburgh, PA.
St. Rita, thank you for coming to me in an unexpected way today, reminding me of my mother's favorite little Saint. May the glories of Heaven on High, be shared with all human kind who honor God. Especially the children, and all who are suffering today.

My father was diagnosed with cancer in july and after a few months, was not doing so well. my family and i started to praying to St. Rita. In October, my mom and i made the decision to transfer him to a better hospital and he is getting the treatment he needs at a much better facility. he is doing so much better now. thank you, St. Rita.
Now, I am turning to St. Rita in my time of need. Dear St. Rita of the impossible, please help me, for I am in desperate need. Please help repair and renew my relationship with my ex-boyfriend. We have an incredible love, a love like nothing we ever had before and I know in my heart it is still there - for both of us. We both felt as if we were soulmates before we even met over four years ago. I still feel that way, but since I unintentionally pushed him away for some time, he's not so sure right now. He has lost some of his emotion and his way. Please St. Rita, help him with his negativity and mental agony. Please help him to realize that we should be together. I have made him the happiest man on earth and I know I can do it again, please remind him of that St. Rita. Deep down in his heart, he knows that we are meant to be. He is an amazing person, my best friend and I am completely lost without him. He is my everything. He is the most compassionate, caring, kind and loving man I have ever met who would do anything for me in a heartbeat - no questions asked. I have done novenas to St. Rita to help restore relationships of loved ones that were having challenges. One of the relationships is leading to marriage on 17th December 2011 and the other is going fine now. I am about to do a novena to St. Rita to hel me with a challenge I have in my marriage and I am expecting a miracle that will put smiles on mine and my husband's face.
