I would like to add my little story in praise of Saint Gerard.
My mother lost 3 children between my older brother and me. Whilst pregnant
with me she became very worried that her pregnanacy would not go full time again.
She mentioned this to a nun collecting alms and the nun told her about
Saint Gerard, gave her a Saint Gerard medal and told her to do a novena to
the saint. My mother did this, all went well and here I am 63 years later
still going strong.
My christian name of course, is Gerard. Its the only forename I have. My mother
did this to make sure I couldnt change it even if I wanted to.

St. Gerard, my husband and I have been married for three years. I had a blighted pregnancy last year. We pray for you St. Gerard that we have a positive pregnancy test this month.
Please pray for us O St Gerard. I just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant. This is my 4th pregnancy as I have lost 3 babies previously (10 weeks - Gabrielle, 18 weeks Mikael and 5 weeks Raphael). Please bless us so that this will be a healthy pregnancy, with no complication and I can carry this baby to term. All we want is a healthy baby, physically and mentally. Dear Saint Gerard, Thank-you for blessing me at the age of 42 with our second child. I know that you were listening when I said my Novenas to you. I am now nearly 7 weeks pregnant Please let this little baby be healthy and happy and let the scans be normal. Please bless this little baby and look after me during this pregnancy and keep us all safe. Please help my friend Lisa conceive a child too. Dear St. Gerard, you once blessed us with our second child, today he is a healthy boy. I am once again 10 weeks pregnant but we just found out yesterday that the baby no longer has a heartbeat. My Doctor wants me to go through with a D&C but my husband and I are still hopeful and praying for a miracle. When we had our oldest child, we were also told her heartbeat had stopped. But we didn't give up and I kept her. After requesting to have several ultrasound, a week after the doctor's findings, on the third ultrasound, and after many prayers, my oldest daughter's heartbeat was found. We are hoping that the same miracle will now happen to us with my third pregnancy. Please help pray for my baby to be saved. Thank you.

Please pray that my daughter gets top marks in her midwifery viva exam Wednesday 17th August 2011. Let her be very confident, competent, successful and please the examiners in this verbal exam. This is her final midwifery exam and if she gets very good marks she is hoping for a first class honours degree.
St Gerard Majella please let this be possible for her and let her make an excellent staff midwife.
