St. Therese of Lisieux Comments
Generations of Catholics have admired this young saint, called her the "Little Flower", and found in her short life more inspiration for own lives than in volumes by theologians. Yet Therese died when she was 24, after having lived as cloistered Carmelite for less than ten years. She never went on missions, never founded a religious order, never performed great works. The only book of hers, published after her death, was an brief ... Continue Reading

St Theresa of the child Jesus is my patron Saint and I love her so much. I first read her authobiography as far back as 1979, and after that, I was inspired to go to the convent, but I was advice by my then Bishop not to rush into convent, but wait for God to call me. So I went to the world waiting for God's call to convent until I later saw myself being maried. Now I am married. St Theresa, please continue to pray for me that through my mariage life, I will also come to see you and my Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven when I die. Amen.
Saint Therese of Lisieux taught us to walk in the presence of God and be holy !
She taught us to love God more and more !
She taught us to live for God and die for God !
She taught us to do even the very little things with godly intention for the salvation of souls!
She has ever been an inspiration to me in my spiritual life!
I consider her to be my own family member!!
God bless all thsoe who pray to God through her intention and help them love God
with full heart and mind and be holy in their day to day life!!!
Dear Saint Martin and your wonderful Little Flower. I thank you in advance.
Fiat.
after reading "a story of a soul" by st. therese, i am starting to feel i am called to be a carmelite!!! i have loved st. therese since i was a lot younger!
im in 4th grade and im learning about her she makes me think a littel higher
She is one of a kind..Thats why i was named after here..Ordinary girl, Extraordinary soul...
I chose St Therese for my confirmation name. My Mom told me about Therese when it was time to research and choose what saint I wanted to model my life after. My Mom also told me the story of when St Therese passed away, the minute she passed, it rained roses, yet the only place I have read that at, as well, was in a Saint's book I found at the library. Everyone should try to model their life after this wonderful soul! A little goes a long way. Even something as little as a smile to a stranger. That smile from you may be the reason his/her day gets better. No deed is left unnoticed, by God.
I keep in my purse the Novena Prayer and a relic of St. Therese. she has never let me down and constantly sends me "roses" in some form or another.......
I first learned of the saint after my mother's death. My mom had mentioned the saint before ( she was her favorite saint)before her death but i never really listened. After finding out my mother had passed on saint therese's feast day and therese had also lost her mother the same way i lost mine (breast cancer), I took the stories of saint therese a little, i mean a lot more seriously and since then have developed an amazing friendship with therese. I can ask therese for a sign (rose) and be answered within hours. I can speak of her story and the people listening to me will find roses moments after i leave the house. My question is: Am I meant to do more? Is there a reason saint therese can speak to me so clearly? Is my mother and therese working together in heaven to reach the people of this earth? I wish someone could answer these questions for me......
Saint Therese, I Love this Saint and can feel the pain she suffered. She gave of herself so unselfishly that it was so inhuman, We here on earth will never have another human of her caliber, walk with us again....She is meant to be in our Hearts now and I believe that Jesus wanted it this way....She will always be in my Heart....I love Roses and whenever I see a Rose I think of her....I Know She is with me!!!! St. Therese is a powerful role model for all of us in the "modern" world. She shows us how to live simply for Jesus, through love. As for Theresa, who wrote about how to pray on 9-14-10, you already know; your prayer was from the heart. Prayer is simply talking to Jesus as you would your dearest friend. God bless you as you continue to grow through prayer and love.
After reading the article I realized that perhaps I there are other ways to serve since being declared disable and unemployable, and still maintain my sanity. Thank you Saint Therese!
i love you jesus!
A wonderful Patron Saint...Therese is the Patron of the Diocese of Fresno, Calif...I consider her a strong intercessor for our priests all around the world and for vocations to the priesthood of good men/young or old/ to hear God's call to them to serve, to be humble and faithful like St Therese was. We pray for that humility and perseverence in our lives. Praise be to God for His Mercy and all His Saints.
I love St.Therese. She teaches me how to love god in doing simple things. I read and read over and over again her writings. Thank you Lord for such heroic people.
WOW! What a wonderful life testimony of Love for our Lord. May we all strive to be as "little" as she was. As for the future priest Tefo, I'll pray with St. Therese to give you the courage as she once did, to answer your call to your vocation. God bless you all who read this.
I have never really prayed to a saint before, but her life is an inspiration for me to live the kind of life God and Jesus want for me. Let us live a life worthy of his sacrifice for us. St. Therese, Little Flower, thank you for showing us your love of God through your own sacrifices, and watch over us and help us, little by little, to become more mindful of others and not just ourselves. Your life has been beautiful.. are beautiful and I thank you.
