Anti-Catholic Agenda of United Nations in the Report on the Convention on the Rights of a Child Comments

No honest, sincere analysis of the response of the Catholic Church to this matter, and the recent heightened actions of Pope Francis, can lead to any other conclusion but that the Catholic Church is responding with a vigorous and serious global response to this evil. More remains to be done. However, the report issued by the UN Convention went way beyond that subject. It intruded into the doctrine, teaching, discipline and rights of the ... Continue Reading

In every dark cloud there is a huge silver lining. This set of very hypocritical statements, plus input on Canon Law, for goodness sakes, is non-binding. It doesn't have the force of law. And, no, they wouldn't do this to Muslims, Hindus, or Jews. Israel may be the most liberal society in the Middle East, but they surely don't have gay marriage. The UN is the epitome of crony state capitalism at its very worst. Maybe the Church should rethink this whole "observer" status and separate from this organization controlled by very few: both hypocritical and decadent. And, of course, we see how "effective" they are at stopping bloody conflicts when they aren't engaging in them.

Where is the sense in claiming to protect children's rights before birth and so blatantly to disregard them after birth, as - for example - protecting child molesters by refusing information about them to legal authorities ? I recall seeing the State Prosecutor in Arizona saying he had never experienced such obstruction during the course of an enquiry into child abuse as that of the Catholic Church, who ignored his requests so his investigation could not proceed.

My conclusion is ; all hypocrisy on the part of the Vatican, and - insofar as I can judge with the new pope - the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Is the UN about to issue a report condemning Islam and its teachings on homosexuality, abortion, death penalty etc.??
No, it is not. I wonder why not?

Sen. Rubio hopes the US Ambassador to the UN will criticize the UN report.

Fat chance for that. The US is the biggest financial contributor and most powerful and influential member of the UN. The US Ambassador would have criticized it already if he/she or Obama disagreed with it.

When Vladimir Putin is the world's leading advocate of Christian values, you know the US has become an evil nation.

I pray that God gives America the punishment it deserves.
