TREASON: Stop the lies, Obamacare is a move towards socialism Comments

It's time to stop with the lies already, but of course they won't stop. One of the greatest deceptions in American history is well under way and is a smashing success for the leftist socialists who currently control our government. We're talking, of course of Obamacare which is becoming a blatant bid to push Americans into a single-payer, socialized healthcare system. Continue Reading

Elsa: "What is wrong with a system that ensures medical attention for all by a country that boasts the best healthcare system in the world?"

Elsa illustrates socialist thinking at its "finest".

First, she asserts that Obamacare is a system that will "ensure medical attention for all". This is obviously untrue and almost comical. Obamacare has done the opposite by making millions uninsured who were once insured, and not providing a working system for them to get new insurance.

And she conveniently ignores the fact that the law for many years in the USA has been that everyone must be given medical attention whether they have insurance or not and whether they can afford to pay for it or not. Having health insurance guarantees no one access to medical attention, and in many cases having insurance will lead one to be denied medical attention - especially when a relatively few Obamacare bureaucrats are the ones who will be making medical decisions for millions of people.

Elsa also fails to see the foolishness in supporting a system that is trying to completely change what she admits is the "the best healthcare system in the world". Engineers have this famous saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Obamacare is a "fix" for a great system that had some isolated problems, but was not broken. If America has the "the best healthcare system in the world", why would anyone want to abandon such a system in favor of something unproven and disruptive? Answer: socialism can thrive only where there is chaos, anger and disruption. As Obamacare gets implemented, it will, by design, cause chaos, anger and disruption to escalate.

The moderate Senate Democrat's should practice the virtue of reason to prevent a FAIL-SAFE Democrat Senate majority......failing to do so will establish a total one party rule for this nation's future and jeopardize the political future of their senior Senate Democrat colleagues as well. Perhaps be replaced by far left senators imposed by a dictatorial mandate to lock out the chances of America in continuing to be a free state society as it has been since 1776...237 years of being a Freedom Blessed Democracy!

From how I read the Gospel, Jesus came to the poor, lepers who had nothing, lost everything and healed them. He asked no one how much they could pay.Socialism is all of us pooling our resources to care for one another as brother and sister. Communism never really practiced socialism. They just said they did. Christ never said to step on one another to get to the top, to get your comfort off the back of others. Christ said love on another. Obama care began as a step to care for the least among us, the young who are trying to get started, those whom work long hours with minimum wages, injured on the job and workman's comp spends more money on lawyers than paying for the injury....AND Congress has gutted so much of what the bill was attempting to do and once they passed the bill, have continued to try to gut it some more. Yes, it has flaws. I don't see any objectors working toward anything better.

Obamacare is the tip of the iceberg.....if the affordable care act succeeds it will certainly be the start of the second phase of the "Bait and Switch" ploy of the majority Democratic Senate. If this occurs the senate would probably be toying with the idea of tinkering with the present US Constitution's 22nd Amendment which states:

    SECTION 1.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

    SECTION 2.

This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.

FYI - Section 2: allows abolishment of the 2 term POTUS tenure as noted. However, if the following sentence of Section 1 would be very problematic if tinkered redacting as the slew of other bills that have been, it could mean our present POTUS could stay for multiple terms.

    Excerpt from Section 1.

"But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term."

Senior Senate Democrats Please Be Concerned...don't be oblivious for your sake.

Its time to start wooing the moderate righteous Democrats, with highest wisdom, to consider crossing over the Republican side of the aisle by truly changing their party affiliation to prevent a national political nuclear melt down. A political senate holocaust that is, especially effecting senior Democrats that will take place if a senate Republican majority is not established now. The present senior Democrats are in serious dire straits...they will be herded out by dictatorial mandate and be replaced by far left senators to maintain a fail save Democrat majority. The future GOP will be a perpetual grid lock. Today's senate vote is indicative of this! Today's results is just a test run model for the future acts in the senate.

It's time to suit up with God's "Suit of Armor" before prayer is illegal! Even if it is. We can still use our deepest imagination to get results in overcoming this dilemma...Our Lord has the power to change people's maligned thoughts 24/7. He does not monkey around with people...He does what He means. And yes, let us rely on the Blessed Mother's Holy Rosary recitation. Remember, it changed the minds and hearts of the Russians who were staunched socialists.

By its nature, socialism attempts to convince the public of the supposed ignorance of those opposed to its ideology. ("stale", "old", "outdated" comes to mind). One goal is to remove the memory and identity of the past, of systems that challenge any authority of the socialist dictators. I suppose the likes of Pius IX, LEOXIII, Pius X, Benedict XV, Pius XI, Pius XII, John XXIII, Blessed John Paul II, and BXVI, to name a few, were truly unlearned and unread men on the subject of socialism. Why, none of them probably even lived through trains of thought that produced past Leviathans of socialist regimes. I'm sure none would say "socialism can not be reconciled with the teaching of the Catholic Church". None of them would say, "no one can be a good Catholic and a true socialist" Would they even recognize systems that wish to remove the personhood and autonomy of Church run institutions or private companies that provide assistance to people in need and "narrowly" define these things on a scale scene back in the 1920s, with schools in America, and Russian churches and schools on a greater scale in the early part of the 20th century? or in Mexico with the Christiada?
Sure, only learned people and well read people think that socialist systems are just peachy!

when a president can dictate who is covered and when, who is exempt and when, unconstitutionally "narrow" self interpretations of the first amendment apply, thousands of mandates, to be changed at a whim, this is the fruit of the creep of socialist ideology. where does it end? where is it written he has this power? Cite me the constitutional authority or the statute. Even in socialist Germany they had to get two thirds of the vote in order to give the Fuehrer that much power. Obamacare, which grows larger every day, is the Leviathan in whose train brings the ideology of socialism full speed ahead. Like Leo XIII said, the harvest of misery is before our eyes, and the dreadful projects of the most disastrous national upheavals are threatening us from the growing power of the socialist movement. If you open your eyes just a little, you can see what is going on. He can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of us all of the time.

But stranger and more alarming still are those Catholics that Pius IX spoke of with the "audacity" of reshaping society under these conditions, cloaked under the guise of love and justice in seductive confusion with ill-understood concept of human dignity. Cathleen Sebelius-you be one of these.

Jay: I believe that simply having insurance is socialization of medicine in itself. Who could afford healthcare without insurance? Healthcare costs are too high for anyone. Currently many companies are competing for you to have an insurance policy with them. The competition eliminates the problem called monopoly. A single payer system is a monopoly, wether the government is running it or a single insurer say for instance Blue Cross Blue Shield. The government running a single payer system can reinvent the rules to suit themselves because they are the law. Any private insurer, even a corrupt one, must abide by the law or get sued. Even a group of insurers insuring any one through a government website must comply fully with the government on the way it is. If the website is defective and the personal information is not safe, than it becomes like it is treason to inform anyone seeking to insure themselves, that something is wrong with the website. The government wants conformity of all required to obtain mandatory insurance,to do it by next month,or they will pay a penalty. The website is failing and preventing even those that want to comply from complying. Current HIPPA laws require that medical information of all individuals must be safe and private. The website as is now, does not guarantee security. The government does not care! Why the rush? Politics! Thats All! The government has botched Obama care to date. When the single payer system is finally forced on everyone it will be because only the government will be able to fix the entire mess, hopefully. When that happens everyone will be forced into a single payer system. The government will become a monopoly and there will be no private insurers such as Blue Cross anymore they will back out of health insurance because there will be too much government regulation and no profits. The real danger is that the IRS and Government Mandated Insurance will become one in the same,or equally oppressive,as they dictate and will control the lives of every American citizen. Just a few thoughts! This is a big deal,Avery BAD deal,in my opinion.

As a Catholic I too, like Jay, am embarrassed by many of these comments. What is wrong with a system that ensures medical attention for all by a country that boasts the best healthcare system in the world? Is it not ironic that in a country with all these medical advancements, that there are some who have access and others who do not? Is this truly Catholic teaching? The Church has a reputation to reach out to the poor and needy yet preaches against them having access to proper health care? Really? Read Vatican 2 of the papal proclamation, 1967. Finally, the UK has had a socialist system for years. Don't hear any criticism there. Do not allow blind hatred to color you views. Read and educate yourselves.

Things will not change until everyone in Washington is fired and half of them get put in prison where they belong. Please vote before its too late!

The problem with ObamaCare is that it legalizes/socializes medicine--including contraceptives/ contraception and abortion and pays for it in healthcare for all Americans. On top of that, it imposes this on employers, including the Catholic Church. Socialism, etc., is contrary to our Catholic faith and morals; specifically, the 5th Commandment: Thou shalt not kill. When politics and medicine runs contrary to faith and morals the Catholics, including priests and bishops have an obligation to speak up! The article is right on!

I really would love to believe in this charismatic President that liberals embrace as their god. He is not, however, ever straightforward. Even when he is forced to accept responsibility for what he has clearly botched he still finds a way to shift the blame. What would he do if there was no republican party? Then who would he blame? Obama's worst enemy is himself because small mindedness is shifting the blame constantly from oneself to others. In everyday life most people cannot shift the blame to others constantly without eventually getting fired. Employers simply do not tolerate such people in general these days.
