A man may put on a great show, an act... but any parent or teacher will tell you, you cannot... simply CANNOT fool a kid. Sure, you can tell a child about Santa or that their puppy went to live at a farm, but someone standing right there who's a fraud, a fake- they see through that instantly. This is a sign of who our Holy Father really is. Francis is the real deal.

this child is telling us something, that Pope Francis is our father and at his age, he knows that the Pope is his great friend and a friend of all children. If the faithful could emulate this boy, the world will be a better place to be. Also, the church leaders saw this boy and the Pope's reaction, he allowed the kid to stay where he chose to be and I'm sure the Pope understood the child's desire to be with him and so he shared his space and love with the kid. God bless our Pope.

EMORY, I agree our pope is beautiful. However, your description of a "new legacy" implies that previously (under Pope Francis' predecessors) The Church focused negatively on "politics and worldiness". This is an unfair description of our beautiful Church.

Please, we ought to pray also about our way of seeing The Church and Pope Francis' predecessors, bishops, priests, and all religious including the first bishops ... the apostles and the first Church Vicar ... Christ Himself. Indeed we are to pray for The Church and for our own openness to The Truth revealed through Christ, His Church and Vicars. Let's pray for our souls please.

Very touching, I hoped Pope Francis one who cares about the homeless and the poor and the downtrodden. This was a test for him, I wished he would have lifted the boy in his arms and kissed him.

God Bless You Pope Francis, may he fill you more and more of his divine love

I am a spiritual person who does not regularly attend church of any faith, but prays and meditates regularly. I have Catholic family members and friends who I respect deeply, but I have never understood their relationship with the church... its pageantry or the formal hierarchy of priests, bishops, and cardinals. It was beautiful and I could understand how it inspires awe and wonder, but it all seemed very aloof and impersonal. All of this changed with Pope Francis. From day one, he has eschewed the status quo and instead led by example, emulating the qualities of Christ that seem to have been lost by so many religions.. compassion, caring, patience, love, humility... I am excited for not only the Catholic church, but the entire world, that a man of this quality, humility, and above all faith is leading your church. I pray for the Pope each evening that he lives a long and production life, beginning a new legacy in the church that focuses on people, charity, and faith and not politics and worldliness. The leaders of not only other religions, but the worlds nations should dare to inspire others positively the way Pope Francis does.

Our Holy Father is real time example of Jesus.
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.- Matthew 19:14
