In the book, Levin, who served as chief of staff in the Justice Department during the Reagan Administration, argues that the states should take advantage of the power given to them in Article V of the Constitution to call a convention of the states to propose amendments to the Constitution. It is the powerful who are represented in DC. Voting is just a formality anymore. That is what needs to be changed. Anything else is just fluff.

I agree with most of what was said. If the society is not moral, how can it create moral laws? However I interpret this as a call to revolution. Why? Because Mr. Levin knows that there is no way the powers that be would allow this to happen. The only way to claw back power, control and money from those who have it is ... well it is not through the ballot box.

Thus I suggest that after much fux online outrage, none of this will happen. And if it "the only way to save the republic" doesn't happen.

    Then what?

michael: OMG dear friend. You really need an extensive lesson in founding fathers history. What about "endowed by our Creator" in the Declaration of Independence? I suggest you read " George Washington's Sacred Fire" by Peter A Lillback. Read documents by Thomas Jefferson who always signed them "in the year of Christ" when he dated them. Read "The Real George Washington, "The Real Thomas Jefferson," "The Real Benjamin Franklin," "The 5000 Year Leap," "Samuel Adams, A Life", etc. There are tons of books out here that have not yet been altered by our enemies. But hurry, they are disappearing from the shelves. The Socialists/Communists running this country have so discredited our founding fathers, and have erased God from the teachings of our children in school in an effort to "create" their "Utopia" of "Social Justice" that hardly anyone knows the awesome truth of the history of America. They have been dumbing down our children for decades with their propagandish teachings. It's no wonder our country is in the the shape that it's in. Most people have no idea who they are or where they came from because they don't know America's history. Some don't even know why we celebrate the 4th of July. (Independence Day for those who don't know.) We need to start calling this holiday "Independence Day" instead of just the 4th of July. There is so much beautiful history of America and our founding fathers out here it's amazing. God bless.

Liberty is morality because morality is common decency. Common decency is universal and must be in and include all laws, governing all people and nations, that is morality. Morality is not just some obscure religious teaching. My point being, all law is based on common sense, common decency, respect for all people. An ammended Constitution would create more not less ambiguity because the current age is incapable and incompetent to change the Constitution because it has lost its sense of what constitutes common sense. Thinking today is impractical. Agenda driven politics is subjective without regards to what is essential for community needs and its best interests, this is why thinking today is impractical because it is selfish and not selfless. Lawmakers today are only proving themselves incompetent when laws are ammended, pray they never get it into their heads to change the Constitution. If they do change it honestly, dishonesty will become the law because morality in the law will become impedance to change not the impetus for change.

Mark Levin is one of today's true intellectuals. He is a true legal scholar who knows constitutional law like the back of his hand. I enjoy his radio broadcasting every afternoon. I will buy his new book The Liberty Amendments.

If you desire to read the already submitted applications of the states for a convention call, go to In all, 49 states have submitted 746 applications, far more than the 34 required for a convention call. Currently the House Judiciary Committee is reviewing a request by Dan Marks of Hawaii, based on FOAVC material, for an official count of applications recognized by Congress. See: , and

Levin's book an extraordinary work, but it's also a call to action. Citizens for Self Governance has launched the Convention of States Project to turn Mark's call for action into reality. Visit for more information and to find out how you can help fix what Washington, D.C., has broken.

Although I agree strongly with Mr. Levin about calling a constitutional convention, all the amendments he suggests would be utterly worthless unless the "original sin" of the founders is corrected, namely, the absence of the good Lord. Within the preamble there must be an acknowledgement of Almighty God as the source of all authority and Christ, His Son, as the King of this nation, and His Gospel as our Way. Without this change, the country is forever doomed.

But to distinguish between true & false Liberty, Biblically speaking the Liberty of the Spirit where Morality is not compromised against that of the flesh.where Morality becomes compromised, especially so in the latter days from the time of the Clintons.
